Great food and very friendly staff. The lighting, however, was a bit stark. If they put candles on the tabes, they would raise the experience so much!

The lunch we ate here was good, slightly better than average. Some of the wines were interesting, particularly the one from the winery of the husband of the waittres, a local 100% tempranillo. Pleasant atmosphere.

Just like your mom used to make...if you're fortunate enough to have a Castilian mom who cooks good! Great local fare from a family restaurant serving great value just across the street from the Parador and three blocks from the Plaza Mayor.

I've been to the restaurant for a few times and taken friends from different parts of the world and they all agreed with me: the cooking was great, typical Spanish food, the service was also great and the place is just according to the food. I will surely repeat it again.

I started with the soup of the day, while my wife had a salad. The soup was excellent and comes in a big bowl. The salad was main-course sized and was also excellent. We then had two seafood entrees which were both very well prepared and very tasty. The proprietess was charming. The price was very good!!

More

An amazing meal. A great variety at a good price. Although not our cheapest meal in Spain, it was by far the best, and worth the €20 special menu price. This includes 2 courses, bread, drink, and dessert. Great service and wonderful ambience. I do not hesitate to recommend this place.

After a day of frustration trying to drive and sight-see in torrential rain and winds, we were happy to stay close to our hotel for dinner. La Murella is just across the street from the Parador so we dodged the rain to go there. We're glad we did. Although the place was virtually empty, that was more due to the... More

Having got bored with the offerings at the Parador, we tried this reataurant just over the road. Only Spanish was spoken but we managed to get by with sign language and pointing. We had pate de perdiz - very good pate served with seasonal berries and deep fried onion/leek leaves. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Then as a main course we had... More
