The food is ok but not exceptional. Greek home - style cooking in an average down to earth basic taverna. The menu seasonally changes a bit but essentially is comprised of Greek staples such as Moussaka, stuffed vegetables, lamb and chicken in different variations, beef stew etc. It's perfectly suited to quench your hunger, but not "fine dining" or a... If you want to eat really Greek food this is the place to be. Cooked, fried or grilled, meat or fish or vegetables everything is excellent.

Love the food there. Try the keftedes, the savory pumpkin pie, the moussaka, the ribs, the snails... Basically try EVERYTHING. Always book a table in advance (a day or two). It is a bit stuffy during the summer and Kitsoulas himself will take your order-be patient he has been around almost a century. Price wise good. Not sure if they... More

Seating is very cramped, service is slow, portions are good and prices are a little pricey for very casual dining.

Kitsoulas is one of the oldest taverna in Halandri. Is very famous classic taverna has traditional Greek food very taste but when you go out , your clothes needs washing or dry clean or what ever ... for sure needs something otherwise your clothes will smelt bad for weeks. Please Kitsoulas' owner do something with Smell in your taverna !!!

Been at this old tavern twice this week. If you are looking for "grand mom's" food, this is the place. 100% Greek cuisine, you can taste any of the dishes(would be a "moussaka" or a rouster on onions(stifado)or even a piece of meat (grilled),your choice would be right. Decoration is pour, but all the rest(plus service) are excellent And as per province 50... More

This is freshly prepared Greek cooking at its best and at a fair price. Service is quick, friendly and professional. Only lunch is served, this very simply furnished taverna closes at 5:30pm and is closed over the weekend and on Monday. There's a smoking terrace and the main dining hall is airconditioned. The lamb "fricassee", the "stifado", the mussaka and... More
