Once you pass through the outside hall/area , which is so not worth it , to say the least - I mean lots of teenagers , crowded in the very limited space , the tables are touching each other , and the whole thing is...very un necessary in my opinion - then you enter a very cozy and nice place and environment. The whole vibe inside is more than fine. The menu is very interesting and with very reasonable prices , but unfortunately I cannot express my opinion about it because I didn't eat. So , it looks good , sounds good , smells good , it costs decent , but I promised myself , next time at first.
But there might not be a next time, because , I went to have shisha - nargile - hookah , call it as you know it. First , a very polite , but totally irrelevant waiter , tried to explain the shisha menu to me , but he definitely didn't know a thing about it , so one of the managers(or owners) came.
The price list was unreal.
It was so absolutely expensive, that for me , it was sort of theft.
30 , 50 , 100 euros for a shisha!!???
I asked him why he is that expensive , I wanted to know the reason behind this, maybe I was going to smoke gold and diamonds!!??
He gave me a childish explanation - very VIP tobacco, taxes and heavy crystal hookas , and left me wondering , how the hell some people treat you like you are an idiot or someone that came from the mountains.
I asked for two flavors , they dude have them , out of stock.
Finally , I asked for the most simple shisha there was , asked the price in advance , informed that it was going to be 25 euros and waited for my order to come.
They really took their time preparing or maybe I was not a good customer for only 25 euros . When it finally arrived , it was good , satisfactory and the hookah boy was around to change the coals. Other than that they didn't bother with me one bit. I was the only person sitting inside.
When the time came to leave , I asked for an invoice, and they presented one for 30 euros. 30!
I didn't even bother , I paid and left , and nobody bothered to even say goodbye or goodnight or thank you as opposed to when I arrived , where they greeted me very polite and warmly. CONCLUSION :
If you have money to throw away , if you want to be greeted nicely as you leave , just go there and spend.
Otherwise , especially if you are a tourist , make sure you have enough in your pocket or credit card ,or you will be in very big surprises and they will treat you as an invisible something.
Oh , I forgot to mention that all these teenagers were Arab , Russian etc. Make your own conclusions. And by the way. Half of the kids there were not even allowed to smoke shisha , because of their age.
But of course , everyone in Greece feels and believes they are above the law ...More
