Lovely hotel with friendly staff, fantastic suite and food but there were 80+ steps down to get to our suite and over 280 down to the lake and beach which I personally never saw!!

Our double room was incredibly big, luxurious and stylish: two king size beds in two separate sections, with a huge deck overlooking the lake. The grounds are beautiful, especially as most of the jungle has been left untouched. We could watch the birds and monkeys from our "home"! Spending the afternoon by the lake in hammocks was a taste of... More

My wife and I stayed at La Lancha for 3 nights in November 2015 and had a brilliant time. We flew from Guatamala City early in morning and were picked at Flores airport for a day’s sightseeing at Tikal. We were pleasantly surprised that a packed breakfast was provided for us, which was a great way to start the day.... More

I had to ask 3 times for milk for my coffee. The packed breakfast turned out to be a few slices of fruit and no bread. Its annoying to check everything but i would advise you to do just that i including that your laundry has been properly washed.

Very nice hotel near the must-see ruins of Tikal and Yaxha. Room was nice and clean. Food in hotel was good but not really Guatemalan in my opinion. But a marvelous setting and very attentive english-speaking staff that really went out of their way when we needed help making an overland connection to Belize. Our favorite hotel of the trip.

We often ate in the hotel because it was very convenient. The food is very good especially the bass and pepian. Service is very attentive and professional. Prices are comparative to others in Flores

Really nice place this is, we where in the area and decided to go inside and have a drink. The ranch where the restaurant is, has a wonderful view of the lake. The bathrooms are clean as the rest of the place. The prices are reasonable considering is hard to get there and there is not much around. Had the... More

We stayed at La Lancha for two nights and loved it. We had intended on using it mostly as a base to explore the amazing Tikal, but ended up loving the hotel nearly as much! The rooms are lovely - wooden cabanas set in the rainforest - and the hotel has a great pool and enchanting lake, which you can... More

The food here is fabulous, the local White bass is wonderful. While I would consider it traditional Guatemalan cooking it is not a traditional Guatemalan restaurant. If we were not staying in the remote hotel as well I wouldn't have visited a second time. It was very expensive by local standards but by European standards the food was excellent value.... More

We stayed at La Lancha and had both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The local specialties served at dinner were very good, particularly the Pepian, a chicken stew with tomato and pumpkin seeds. The place is open air under a large palapa hut. The view is beautiful during the day, but at night you really can't see anything although... More
