I went there last weekend when visiting some friends in Frisco TX. We had tried before and didn't get a seat. Not sure if they expanded since then but when there was no room in the diner, we were offered "The Garage" with the words "It's not as bad as it sounds". Um actually, yes it is. You go through... Planning on moving to Prosper so we decided to grab some dinner in downtown McKinney. The place was packed as there was a festival going on that Saturday after Thanksgiving. Most of the reviews were about breakfast but decided to give it a try anyway. The wait was about average, the food was pretty good and the prices were fair.... More

We scheduled the wedding rehearsal dinner here. The group was about 30 people. We left the menu open. The wait staff of 2 were professional, friendly and quick. Everyone enjoyed the food, especially the desserts. I recommend this place and will be back.

We had to wait about half an hour for a table on a Saturday, but it was worth the wait. Our food was all very good and our waitress was excellent, despite being busy with many tables. We would definitely dine here again.

Spoons is a really good place to get breakfast. In a world fraught with sugary, whipped creamy, you-can't-even-recognize-what-the-heck-this-stuff-is, the simplicity of eggs, bacon, sausage, chorizo and pancakes makes you feel like you've found old acquaintances. The portions are huge. You my be taking some home with you. The breakfast taco and the Migas are two staples you should try. The... More

Our family recently dined out on the patio for breakfast and everything was great! Good food, good service, good selection. Everything that you could want in a casual diner.

We had a short wait to get a table for lunch. I had a BLTA that was awesome! The potato salad was one of the best, too. Everyone in our party enjoyed their selections as well. Only negative was the service. I had to get up and ask for silverware after our food was dropped off at our table. Our... More

Spoons is a place you go when you want hometown food, a huge selection of breakfast and lunch choices, and have some time on your hands. The food is always above and beyond your usual diner. Also, they offer a great bloody mary if you are feeling "brunchy". Don't be in a rush here, though, as there is generally a... More

The prices are reasonable. The food is better than I expected. The selection is better than expected. The only major draw back, which is the reason I won't return, is the lack of service. Our waitress only visited us when it was required, is: take order bring food bring check. Getting refills or sauce or extra chips or placing a... More

We eat here several times a month - for past 10 or more years. It's really a heartbeat of McKinney place - one of longest-running restaurants around the square. Our favorites of our three generations of diners: all-day breakfast, Reubens, salads, burgers, Big Tex incredible pimiento cheese sandwiches, and of course, desserts. Great resting spot when shopping the downtown square.
