If you know that something is good don't veer from that was my lesson. The folksy and the carpetbagger are. Great as is any fish I've had there. The ribeye was a real disappointment. And the beet salad was, I'm beets, no greens no anything. The menu is misleading she it comes to that! I like the... read more

Rick's absolutely just fine. The place has been there a very long time and it feels that way. The atmosphere is old school classic and the food is good. The service in the restaurant and bar is not bad, but not great. The hotel that it's attached to is a class act though. I can never get excited about this... More

I am highly gluten intolerant and am able to enjoy dining at Rick's. Servers have gone out of their way to make a gluten free bloody mary for me using tomato juice since the mix was not GF.

My wife and I go every year for anniversary, valentines day, etc. It is our favorite restaurant, you will not find a better steak anywhere. The staff is top notch!

Excellent menu with many choices from my favorite chophouse salad, to home cooking choices, burgers, steaks and salads. Rustic setting with hardwood floors and comfortable seating in bar, restaurant, or on the patio. Don't miss the crab dip! Great service, great atmosphere.

The building that today is home to Rick’s Chop House and The Grand Hotel has had an illustrious past. The upper portion was at one time the Old Heard Opera House in McKinney. John Philip Sousa’s band played there, and as rumor has it, The Stars and Stripes Forever premiered in McKinney. I love the historic value of the property;... More

Last week we took my dad to Rick's Chophouse to celebrate his 80th birthday. I don't think my dad wanted to go to McKinney because it is about 20 minutes away so I was a little anxious for things to go well. I needn't have worried because the whole experience was amazing !! The staff was amazing and took care... More

From the reservation over the phone, to our confirmation to being seated was first rate. Our waiter, Mark was so helpful and professional. We went from beverages to appetizer to salads to entrees to more wine to desserts and more. Owner Rick even checked in on us. Fine dining at its best. Even the check surprised us. Very appropriate. We... More
