One of the best chicken fried steak I have ever had. Great green beans and mashed potatoes. Great service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Fried Brussels were terrific. Good margaritas (try pineapple soaked in tequila), steak good and nice salad. Only negative was bacon on wrapped shrimp with peppers. Very little pepper and bacon was not cooked in most places. Otherwise very good experience, would return.

We always enjoy eating at Docs when we come to Marble Falls. It as good as eating shrimp in Port Aransas or Corpus Christi.

Horrible service. Food taste like it was all frozen. Waited over 45 minutes for food and the restaurant was almost empty. Will NEVER go back

After having a poor dining experience here almost a year ago, we decided to give this establishment another try after seeing ads proclaiming that they were under new ownership. Unfortunately, nothing has changed in the way of quality, despite a small dinner crowd. First, the...beer I requested was not what I was served. The fish we ordered was served lukewarm. The sides all had to be sent back because they were cold. These were not returned to us until most of the main dishes were eaten. Their menu describes shrimp as being Jumbo Gulf Shrimp - What a Joke!!! They were certainly NOT even close to 'jumbo'!!! This was a waste of time and money and there will be no third chance for this place!More

Fantastic food, reasonable prices, great wait staff, and we enjoyed the live music. I recommend the broiled shrimp kebab and the Diablo bacon wrapped jalopeno and cheese stuffed shrimp.

Visiting in Horseshoe Bay we took the TA review and stopped by for dinner on a Monday night about 6p. Very few diners there, easy to get a table, we were promptly and courteously met by a very well-meaning newly minted waiter. The food, however,...just wasn't very good. We had the cheese turds (ok, barely), shrimp appetizer (poor), shrimp pasta dish (pasta was undercooked and underprepared), sides of green beans and cole slaw (both of which tasted like they came from the Burger King next door). The pinot gris was vin very ordinaire and the prosecco okay. Service was sincere. The next day we met friends who live nearby who informed us that they would have warned us off had we consulted, that Doc's has been headed downhill for several years. Keep your expectations low if you decide to dine at Doc's.More

Bunnie the Skincare Junkie My family had dinner at Doc's last night and celebrated my cousin's birthday, the acceptance of my other cousin to Duke University Medical program and just being together. We had a great time. Mostly because of our server and Meagan and...the GM Joe! We had so much fun. After over 2 years and not enjoying an alcoholic beverage due to Covid loss of taste I had a wonderful Martini with my cousin Michael. It was delicious. I asked Joe who was filling in as bartender if he had anything that tasted like grapes (not wine) and he created a delicious little shot of something we now refer to as a PURPLE BUNNY! Ask for one. Smoothe and delicious! Joe is inventive and precious and Meagan was the best server EVER! Thanks for the fun times. I give you 10 stars **********More

On a road trip through marble falls I stopped here for lunch. Glad I did. Tried the blackened catfish with remalaud sauce. Really good. Tracy recommended the fried Brussel sprouts and I am glad she did. Those were excellent as well. Really nice lunch.

The place is unfortunately situated on a busy corner and a little difficult to acess. However, this is how we ended up here for lunch. Trying to unsucessfuly find another place we decided to eat here, and it was a lucky thing. Place is a...little dark and decorated with a jumble of things, but the booth we sat in was comfortable and clean. It was midafternoon and very quiet. Service was good. I chose the greek salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were served cold and that startled me a bit, but they were good and seasoned well. Greek dressing and feta cheese were good, but I would have appreciated some kalamata olives. The menu says they are supposed to be there. Husband had the oyster po-boy that he declared excellent. The sandwich came with "seasoned" fries. When we asked what seasoning, the server said "salt and pepper". So nothing exotic but they were crisp and tasty. He ordered a cobbler to go and it came with individually packaged components (including ice cream) and was very good when we got to it.More

Well, our third or fourth visit to Doc's for dinner. We were early, around 545pm on a week night, it was not crowded. Had an IPA and house margarita, both good. My husband ordered Jumbo shrimp....they were not jumbo. Fries were not hot, but not...crispy or fresh tasting either, just ok. I ordered Chic Fried Steak which was, again, ok. Not as good as Threadgills in Austin. Altho, Threadgills closed b/c of Austin's high business & property taxes, so we're out of luck there. Mashed potatoes were luke warm. We were hungry, so we didn't say anything. We were not impressed with this $50+ meal. Just hate to spend the money on a less than delicious meal.More
