Good family home-style cooking. We went here for lunch on a Wednesday and the restaurant was very busy. They have a varied menu of sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. My wife had the chicken pesto sandwich and and I had the chicken fried steak with potatoes and jalapeño corn. Both were tasty and served by friendly and helpful staff. The steak was lightly breaded, covered with cream gravy. Portion size was about average. Two entrees and no drinks came to about 30 dollars.

We * respect * people who do their work with EXCELLENCE.
Eden Cafe was a fairly random choice for us this evening. We were driving home from our son's wedding when my wife asked to have dinner someplace where we wouldn't usually dine since we were in the area.
Of course, the food was outstanding —everything seemed to be on the menu because there was something special about it.
The atmosphere was refreshing — cozy layout, relaxing music, not too loud — we could hear one another and enjoy our conversation.
Our waitress, Alex, was cheery and attentive. What's more, she was "normal" ~ that's a genuine compliment these days. Not the nose-ringed, purple hair type — simply a pleasant young lady who seemed to actually enjoy her work and their guests.
She must have mentioned to the owner, Ulises, that it was our first visit because he showed up and introduced himself and engaged us in thoughtful conversation.
Finally, to my embarrassment, I tipped over my water glass. A watchful lady busing tables was at our feet in a moment fixing the mess I made. Her simple action made an already great experience * unforgettable * !
Yes, the dinner was good, but I'd say there was more. Most of all, we were SERVED ... from the manager to the wonderful lady busing tables — we were * SERVED * with excellence.

We ate here on Saturday afternoon 10/3/20 and the food was terrific. In fact, I can't wait to go back here many times to try out so many different and wonderful sounding dishes on the menu! I had a great burger and my friends had great dishes, too (Chicken fried steak & Chicken Marsala). The owner walks around talking with everyone, checking on things and making sure everything is going well at all of the tables. A well-run restaurant with great comfort foods and a great atmosphere.

The food was excellent! The waitress (Alma) was very attentive. She made the experience even better. The owner came by our table several times to check on us too. I had the Eden chicken salad. The presentation was like a picture. My husband ordered shrimp and grits which he said was very tasty. Our friends’ meals were delicious too. We highly recommend this Christian based restaurant. “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15.

We always love the Eden Cafe on Egypt Lane for dinners. The specials are tasty and the standard menu has so many good choices and a nice wine selection. And the prices remain at very comfortable level compared to most places we see.

We made a special trip after seeing Eden Cafe on Texas Bucket List. WOW what a great place to stop and eat. My wife had Crab Cakes and I had Lasagna . We both had sweet potato casserole as our side. Really glad we both had it or I would have eaten hers .We split the Bread Pudding for dessert. Even thou its a two hour drive, we are already planning our next trip to Eden Cafe

Perfect atmosphere. Amazing food. Great variety. Migas for breakfast cannot be beat!!! Tyr everything that is on the daily board- specifically the soups.

What a delightful family-owned restaurant! Variety of dishes ranging from very healthy (salmon tacos) to "scandalous" (shrimp and cheesy grits). The spinach-artichoke dip appetizer was superb.

Wonderful variety--some Cuban, some Mexican, some Italian, some American--all excellent. Customer service is fabulous. My favorites are the fish Friday specials--fish and chips or herb encrusted fish (redfish, trout, grouper)--or the chicken pot pie (now Thu special, hope it comes back to every day menu), sweet potato casserole, plantains, corn casserole. tira misu, brulet ceesecake.

The food and service were excellent, we were very impressed with our server and the dinner was cooked perfect. We recommend this restaurant, it is reasonable prices and large portions for quality dinning, will be back!

My son and I went to Eden Cafe today for lunch. This was the first time we have been there. It was FANTASTIC!! Walking in it has casual elegance. It is decorated very nice and very clean establishment. The staff greeted us instantly and we were seated quickly. Our waitress Kira greeted us and took our drink order and told us about the daily specials. It was Italian day/Winesday Wednesday(50% off bottles of wine). We started off with an appetizer of spinach dip and chips. Omg this is probably some of the best if not the best spinach dip we have ever had. It was cheesy and seasoned perfectly lots of spinach and was a very large portion. We asked Kira for recommendations as to what her favorite things were on the menu. She had many recommendations and also explained that everything is made fresh daily. They also have different theme days of specials throught the week. My son decided on the lasagna, side salad and garlic bread & I chose the Cuban Ropa Vieja. This was like a Cuban pot roast. It was shredded beef cooked in a tomato red wine sauce with garlic, bell peppers and onions. It was served with fried plantains and rice topped with black beans. The lasagna...It was phenomenal. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I should have gotten a side shot. It was a thick, cheesy, saucy piece of Heaven on a plate. The flavor of the meat and the sauce would make any Italian Nonna proud. The salad was fresh. My son doesn’t like lots of things on the salad so don’t just think their garden salad comes with just carrots. He left off onions & tomatoes. (I know Idk what is wrong with that kid). The Ropa Vieja was tender and juicy. It paired wonderfully with the rice & black beans. I even had enough leftover to bring home. I’m going to mix it with my eggs in the morning. Since this was our first visit there they gave us a slice of Key Lime Pie to go as I didn’t have room to eat it there. Service was impeccable. Maria the owner came to our table and asked about our experience and was excited and thankful that we had decided to give them a try. I would highly recommend this place! They have breakfast on Saturdays also. We will definitely be back for dinner and going to try their breakfast also. It is located in Magnolia. Look them up online edencafe.net. #EdenCafe
