Love that they have a drive thru although menu seems limited. Whole menu is a la carte. Line was long so then was the wait. BBQ must have been average as I don't even remember what I ordered.

We usually get sliced brisket at Rudy's, and it's usually very good. This time, though, it was a little too dry. I also usually get their green chili stew, and this trip it was great. The person taking our order didn't seem very familiar with their offerings -- maybe it was her first day -- but we finally got what... More

I travel to Lubbock about every three months. I have become to like a regular visit to Rudy's. They have these all over Texas but usually do not eat at them because I have other options. This one is close to a hotel I stay at and I like Texas BBQ. Their moist brisket is the best. Good smoke flavor... More

Went through the drive-thru for breakfast burrito. There were 2 cars ahead and wait was minimal. Food was good. Salsa was tasty and hot. Bar-B-Q is excellent. A variety of food. Love going there.

I went here yesterday. I'm from the Maryland, East coast and want some barbecue. When I saw the place it looked like an old gas station and wasn't sure wanted to inside but my husband and I decide to check it out anyway. To my surprise, The people were very hospitable gave us a sampler to see what we wanted.... More

We stopped here to get gas and decided to eat Texas BBQ one last time before leaving the state. This was the best BBQ we had our entire time in TX. The moist brisket and pulled pork were my favorites. The service is great, everything was clean and we were able to get back on the road quickly.

We have always had a great experience eating from the restaurant. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable.

The clerk that waited on me was very helpful, offering me an unsolicited sample of brisket and turkey (YAY! Free meat!) before I decided on my order. I went with the brisket sandwich, which was a bit dry for my tastes. They do offer a "moist" brisket which is a little fattier and in hindsight I should have requested that.... More

Description
Just north of San Antonio, at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, sits the small community of Leon Springs. Founded in the 1800s by Max Aue, Leon Spring's cityscape changed when Max's son, Rudolph, opened a one-stop gas station, garage, and grocery store. Bar-B-Q was added to the operation in 1989, and Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q has been serving up tasty food ever since. The same original recipes that built Rudy's Leon Springs' reputation are now available throughout the Southwest. Our pits are 100% wood fired with oak, a slower burning wood than the mesquite used by others. Along with time and oak, we cook with a dry spice that ensures each plate of Rudy's Bar-B-Q is perfectly ready for you. Apply some of our famous "Sause" and dinner is served.
