Just north of San Antonio, at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, sits the small community of Leon Springs. Founded in the 1800s by Max Aue, Leon Spring's cityscape changed when Max's son, Rudolph, opened a one-stop gas station, garage, and grocery store. Bar-B-Q was added to the operation in 1989, and Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q has been serving up tasty food ever since. The same original recipes that built Rudy's Leon Springs' reputation are now available throughout the Southwest. Our pits are 100% wood fired with oak, a slower burning wood than the mesquite used by others. Along with time and oak, we cook with a dry spice that ensures each plate of Rudy's Bar-B-Q is perfectly ready for you. Apply some of our famous "Sause" and dinner is served.

It's Rudy's

Is there really anything I can say? Rudy's is great! I have nothing bad to say, it's all good. You can't go wrong with the brisket.

Had a Brisket sandwich. It was good but without sauce would be a bit dry. Really a bar-b-que serve yourself place

The selection is outstanding. Pulled pork, pulled beef, pulled chicken and the side dishes are numerous. The sauces are great at this casual dining experience and range from mild to blow your head off. Full range of beer and soft drinks. A great family restaurant. Good choice of desserts.

Fantastic food; tried a little of each available barbecued meat and each was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Loved the sides, as well - creamed corn and cole slaw! On the way out, treated ourselves to some country treats (Jalapeno Peanut Brittle!).

Love the food! Very consistent, great food and service! The baked potatoes are always one of my favorites even though it's a barbeque place. Just wish it was a little more affordable for a large family. We would definitely eat there more often. They should consider doing a daily special or coupon deals or something! Other than that, it's great!... More

Very tasty BBQ. The sausage in particular is pretty tasty. Good value for money. Rustic decor as normal in a BBQ joint. Service is all up the front counter but very efficient.
