Every time I'm in Lubbock, Visit here for breakfast at least once - if not every day I'm in town. Simple breakfast foods that are made to order and cooked to perfection. Service is always friendly and the food is always quick. They have red...velvet pancakes that I have yet to find any competition.More

We were in search for a place like grandmas kitchen...after being deployed, and a very long drive we had read some great reviews and decided to stumbled in and give this place a try. We didn't know what kind of adventure we would find- but...wow! We were greeted by the friendlies people! Seated and from then on it was like we were part of the family! The food was amazing, One of the reviews mentioned cinnamon roll pancakes- OMG!!!! MUST GET!!!! When ever we are in Lubbock we will go back and just order those- wow! The coffee is amazing (we are a pretty picky about our coffee), the biscuits and gravy was on point! And the owner was even nice enough to come over and speak with us! Really great place! We will be going back!More

We went here 3 years ago when my son had to be in Lubbock for a conference and it is now our favorite place when we’re in town. My son now attends Texas Tech so we luckily get to come eat here at least a...couple times a year. The staff is great and the cinnamon roll pancakes are the bomb!!! It’s just a down-home place, nothing fancy but great people and food.More

I was seated promptly along with a full house of patrons. I started my breakfast with coffee, and it was good coffee. I ordered two eggs over medium, bacon and buttermilk pancakes. While waiting for my breakfast, I noticed that everything on the table was...clean! The expectation that we all should have but so often that is not the case. The hot suace bottle was clean on the outside and had been wiped off where the lid screws on (you where it gets all cruddy) had been cleaned. The salt and pepper had been emptied and been washed so that you could see the salt and the pepper inside. As my meal arrived I started to cut into my eggs, of which the waitress noticed they were not cooked correctly, she said she would get them fixed, even though I said it wasn't necessary. It was very refreshing to see someone that actually took ownership of her job in customer service. The experience at the Pancake House was how all restaurants should be.More

Old-school W TX/Panhandle breakfast jernt. Nice folks, heavy on the Jesus imagery, excellent carbs & fried. Super friendly, and they've maintained the same kitchen & floor staff for decades, which tends to speak well of management. Heads-up: *very popular* on TTU Game Days, so plan...accordingly.More

Went to the Pancake House for a morning breakfast meeting on a weekday morning. It was crowded but not full, and we were seated immediately. Service was speedy and friendly. Ordered an omelette, which was good but not particularly special. This seems like a good...place for a simple site down, family or friends breakfast.More

I used to go to this place back in 2002-2006 when I was a student at Texas Tech and I always loved it. I was back in town this past weekend for a graduation and I was excited to take my kids there before we...made the long drive back to Houston. They sat us at a table and the waitress came out and asked us what we wanted to drink, and while my 8 year old autistic daughter was trying to say her order the waitress got impatient and walked off. She came back and took our drink orders after checking on another table. She then took our food order and we sat for about 45 minutes. She kept walking past us to check on the table behind us but never refilled our drinks or gave us an update on our food. I watched other tables who came in after us being served their food while we continued to wait. Finally I gave up and we walked out. My daughters were getting too hungry and we had to get on the road. I was extremely disappointed and won't be going back.More

Although this place is downtown and not in a high-traffic area for a Saturday morning, they were very busy! We had a short wait before being shown our table. Our waitress was excellent and the food was great! We had a variety of breakfast items,...and shared a lot. It was inexpensive, and terrific food! We will definitely make this a regular stop!More

I love me a pancake house, and this one should be better than it is. When you enter, you see the welcoming sign that reads "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus," and the serving staff is friendly and welcoming. There's a good variety here, and with a name...like the pancake house, the pancakes should be better. They are a good bargain, but a bit dry for my taste. Still the atmosphere is good, and it has the feeling that you could sit there all day and drink coffee. Just not the best pancake in town.More
