I love this steakhouse restaurant. The decor is romantic and the attention to detail shows. Service is always on point. And when my husband and I come we always get the New York strip for 2. Their sides are so good, and their New York cheesecake is something we always end our night with.

Food is very good and you can quietly visit with your table mates. I love the atmosphere here. No loud music blaring. Service is good. Not a cheap place to eat but you get what you pay for at this restraunt. My wife and I Iove it for special occasions!

We had two great meals at the Double Nickel when we drove through Lubbock on a vacation to Colorado. We sat at the bar both times and had great service and food. On the second visit we were charged extra for an additional olive in my martini. Really? In all my years of drinking martinis, I've never been charged extra... More

We were family and friends celebrating a birthday . About a dozen people. The waiter was all business and no personality. He only seemed interested in selling things in a somewhat pushy robotic manner. Drinks, appetizers, add-ons, bottles of wine and desserts. We got our food and my ribeye was overcooked and tough. The flavor was not there. The experience... More

The steaks , yes you must have a steak, were made to order to your cooking request. But, when the waiter comes to your table with your food he has you cut it and make sure it is the way you want it. The fried cheese is a great addition to a hot plate.

For the Memorial Holiday weekend my husband and I decided to drive out to Lubbock, Texas because it was a place we had never been. In doing so, we did some research on the best eating places in Lubbock. The Double Nickel Steak House had some of the best reviews online so we decided to check it out. The actual... More

Double Nickel is the best restaurant in Lubbock and the best steak. My wife and I always celebrate our anniversary at Double Nickel. We've also celebrated our daughters' birthdays here. We love the incredible food and service. Highly recommend.

You know when you order a rare steak and the waiter asks, "cold or warm center"... You are in a REAL steakhouse. Fantastic filet, though I'd probably ask for it sans pepper next time. I don't usually like creamed corn, but there was great. Nice big dinner salad too. Good wine selection. I did not care for their signature fried... More

Six years ago when I was courted to move here from out of state, the group who brought us out arranged for a dinner here at Double Nickel. The interior is unlike anything else in Lubbock; classic upscale, west coast steak house. The food is what you would expect at a higher end steak house in West Texas; quality cuts... More
