Best breakfast in Lubbock! Everything in the restaurant is made from scratch! Great service, food, and atmosphere!

Needed a snack and a cold beer after spending the morning at the Buddy Holly museum. Ordered the smoked brisket nachos and two different local brews. Nothing short of fantastic. Chips were light and crunchy and the brisket was killer. A must do.

Ate lunch here before visiting Buddy Holly Center (across the side street). Busy locals place. Food is good and the staff is excellent. Would eat here again if in the area!

We loved this restaurant! We walked in and it felt like we were at a family reunion but were late. Lots of chattering of people! Our server, Samantha, was genuinely nice and didn't act rushed even with us coming close to closing time. The fried...green beans were delicious as was the stew. The brisket nachos were very good and big enough as the meal. We ordered the berry cheesecake and the crust was like a light wafer. Yum! The locals were surprised we had found this unique restaurant. What a treat to have picked this for one of our meals!More

We went for lunch, the place was packed. What we had was very good. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that they were already out of pie and we got there at noon. Guess you have to go for breakfast and order...pie in order to insure you get someMore

A great find in Lubbock. All the staff were exceedingly friendly. Our waitress was great and never let our coffee cup go empty. Breakfast was some of the best we have had in a restaurant. Prices were very reasonable. We plan to eat here again...next time we are in Lubbock.More

Have eaten here numerous times. Always a treat to myself and friends. Today main meal and service great as usual. Allowed myself a piece of Buttermilk Chess pie for the first time. As a Southerner who has eaten chess pie from Grandmothers, Mother, Neighbors, Church...all my 70 plus years, I know what it should taste like and variations. Eat but told server that something taste "off". To pay that much for a slice, it should be the best. Mouth stayed weird even after brushing soon as got home. Maybe butter? Assumed made in house. Not be treating myself to pie again.More

Saw all the local folks going in. Eat where the locals eat. Only open until 02:00 pm for breakfast and lunch. Noon on Friday. Busy but wait was less than 5 minutes. Chopped steak with mushrooms for hubs and taco salad for me. Both excellent....Only minus was the lemonade.More

Went for breakfast. Great food great price. The o letters were excellent, the chicken fried steaks great, the pancakes, biscuits and gravy best. Friendly service. Never ending coffee. Right behind Buddy Holly Museum, right on 19th street. Real southern taste. Looking forward to returning. Open...until 2 pmMore

This is a fantastic breakfast/lunch restaurant in Lubbock, Tx. We went there twice in two days. The chicken fried steak is perhaps the best I’ve ever had! So good, I ordered it in both occasions. Everything, including desserts, is made from scratch. Kind staff. Go...check it out!More

Come on in and experience some real Texas food and hospitality. Crowded, happy place at lunch but worth it. They close early so be there on time. Pies are their specialty but I was so full from the lunch special, it wasn't possible.

Amazing food. If you’re looking for a good country meal, don’t skip this place. The chicken fried steak was phenomenal, the fried green beans were the bomb, and the cream gravy mashed potatoes beat your mamas recipe. The cheese rolls are an added bonus. Best...place I’ve eaten in a longgggg time. My kids ate their food like it was their last meal. They had the fried chicken salad, and chicken salad sandwich and both were amazing. I wish we lived in town because we would eat here every Sunday.More
