My family loves Greek/Mediterranean food and we always try to visit these restaurants while traveling. This was just ok food, but the worst was when I visited the restroom. Spent $52 for lunch so I thought it was a little overpriced, but if it's authentic,...it's worth it. The falafel sandwich had maybe one falafel crumbled up inside of it. Not the best. The dolmas were ok, but very small. My daughter liked her gyro and the baklava was pretty tasty. The gentleman was friendly enough--he was the only one working, so it took a while to get our food. I went to use the restroom at the end of our visit. If I had gone before eating, we would not have eaten there. The ladies room was disgustingly filthy. I ended up using the men's room. There were stacks of boxes and buckets and containers by the back door which was by the restrooms. Definitely not what I would think would be approved of by an inspector. Definitely not worth a return visit...More

So understand when i say this is not Greek food in any capacity that its coming from someone that actually knows how to make all of the "Greek" dishes this place offers. The guy that runs the place is not Greek (normally it shouldn't matter...but i feel as though Greek food is so specialty that it needs to come from someone that has a connection to the culture). its probably closer to McDonald's than Greek food. I normally wouldn't be so harsh on Greek restaurants as they are a rarity and am usually grateful that one even exists but holy virgin Mary this place should not be serving food to any living creature unless its for free. The building is extremely neglected as far as i could see and if i can see the soda machine dirty, dining room dirty, ceiling dirty, then i cant even imagine the conditions in the kitchen. Gordon Ramsay would have aneurysm the minute he walked in here. would probably make for a very entertaining kitchen nightmares episode and they probably wouldn't have to make up anything like they usually do in that show. My roommates asked me to take them after my first visit because they wanted to see if i was overreacting...... we paid for the food, received it, looked at it and left the food there without touching it and left. we paid them for food and it was so bad we didn't even bother asking for a refund we just left. thanks for coming to my TED talkMore

Late on a weekend, hungry, three of us decided to try this place. Service was nothing special but ok, food was not what we were expecting. Two of us ordered Gyros. Have been eating Greek food for several decades, in many locations, never had a...Gyro with horseradish instead of Cucumber sauce. Not bad, just not what I've come to think of as authentic. Seems to be a pattern in Lubbock,More

I should have known better when I walked in at 8:00 pm and I was the only one there. The place is old & dirty. The food was OK, but I could hear the microwave timer go off when the man heated up my gyro....The best advice I can give here is to “drive on by.”More

Went here expecting a Gyro, got a cold piece of pita bread with about FOUR slices of meat on it. Plenty of lettuce (which we have never had before on a gyro) but hardly any meat. For $6.49 this was way over priced for what...you got. Wasn’t bad but certainly NOT filling, guess that’s why they offer the deluxe with French fries, gotta fill you up somehow. There was only one person waiting for food when we got there and it seemed like it took an awfully long time to get our food. Guess there isn’t much of a choice in Lubbock, but we won’t be back here.More

We joined some friends for It's Greek to Me's annual Valentine's dinner. The food was good and we really enjoyed our time spent with friends and others gathered there. The cuisine for tonight was Greek/Mediterranean gut they also serve typical American food. The food was...fresh and the prices and service are good. We had a good time and will return.More

They charged us for a glass of water! Food was just okay. Not worth a return visit. Chinese restaurant in the same parking lot looked busy. Sorry I did not see that before we went in. Will try that on our next drive through town.

The fresh Kafka made with lamb, beef and spices was delicious. The basmati rice tasted homemade. A good value. The family owned restaurant is clean with helpful waitstaff.

This was the 1st visit for my husband and me. We had never tried Greek Food before and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We started with the Humus and the Greek Lemon Soup. Both were really good. We really enjoyed the...soup, it was really great with a tangy taste. My main course was the Mousaka and my husband has the chicken kabob. Both entrees were delicious. We will defiantly return to this wonderful Restaurant!! Oh and don't forget dessert. The Bakalava was so crunchy and fresh. Cannot wait to return and try something different!!!More

The food here is pretty good, but it's not a place I'd go out of my way to get to. The gyro plate has a good amount of meat, but mine was a little dry. The restaurant is pretty big and has plenty of space...for bigger groups. You order at the counter when you walk in and they bring the food out to you once it is done. I'd guess I had about a 10 minute wait so it wasn't too bad.More

There are only a few spots to get Greek food in Lubbock. I was hoping this would be another amazing spot but it is not my favorite. It seemed to take a really long time to order and get our food and it was lacking...flavor. Also, the establishment wasn't very clean. Not sure if they had a rush and didn't have time to properly clean but stuff was sticky. Probably won't be a top visit of fine.More

This restaurant does not have great atmosphere, but the food tastes pretty good. Last time, our family just took it to-go. Waited about more than 25 minutes for 4 sandwiches and two appetizers to be prepared and bagged. It cost us over $38. The amount...of food we got was a lot less than what we are used to getting from Mediterranean cuisine restaurants.More

Almost every time I travel to Lubbock, Texas or go through the Hub City, I try to eat at It's Greek to Me. All my family members always enjoy eating either the Gyro or the Gyro Platter. Also the rice is especially good. I'm sure...other platters are as good as well. The only subpar thing I have tried is the baklava. If in Lubbock, while looking for a new place to eat, you should try It's Greek to Me.More

This was an ok place for dinner, Prices are good but portions seem to be on the smaller side. I was disappointed with the Greek salad and the tsatziki was very watery. I have eaten a a lot of better Greek restaurants and this one...has the promise of being better, just needs to step up its game. Spices were good, and the food tasted good. I am considering going back to try another dish.More
