Don't let my title fool you, I cannot say for certain whether it was Orlando's food or the mix of spaghetti and the tacos I ate earlier. But I would give Orlando's another chance. Now onto the review... Like with all my restaurant reviews, I...want to establish my tastes. If you don't agree with what I like, you might not like my review. If we appear to have the same tastes in food, then I hope my review encourages a visit. Italian restaurants I like are Macaroni Grill, Olive Garden, Johnny Carinos (which is no longer around?), Joes Pizza (in Fort Worth) and Portofinos (Roswell). In Lubbock I usually eat at Cheddars, ChikFila or Chipotle. I'm not trying to be alliterative :) I wrote a long review for Arbor Inn and don't feel like doing that for Orlando's. I had the all you can eat spaghetti, salad, soup and bread. (Maybe it was eating the green chili potato soup that didn't sit well with the spaghetti). The flavors were good and the bread was a-plenty. The salad was good (I could use more tomatoes) and I had water. The spaghetti was a rich sauce and I only had one plate. The service was okay but I will give the waitress a pass. Orlando's seems like a go-to place for families as there were two 10+ parties next to me. Prices were reasonable and portions were good size. Would I recommend the place? Not sure. Will I return? Yes! This is one of those restaurants that you want to try again because the potential is there. And everyone deserves a second chance. Also, I'm not a big fan of the covid mandates so I'm ignoring those questions. I had covid, had family pass away from it but life is not always fair. I won't criticize those who are afraid or have different opinions, take care of you. But don't force fear on others. Enjoy life.More

Orlando's has become our 'go to' restaurant in Lubbock. The food is consistently good, the service is great, and the wait is never long. Even though it was Texas Tech's Graduation, we ate here twice last weekend (once at each location) and had no issues...being seated or served. In fact we were actually turned away from Triple J's Chophouse (fully booked) but Orlando's came through for us (party of 12!) at the last minute and provided a great meal. Believe me...we will be back!More

We ate here twice during our stay in Lubbock. First time at the Indiana location. Dine in. Amazing service. Food was delicious. Even though they were very busy, we didn’t have to wait long to be seated or get our food. Very fairly priced for...the amount of food you get. Second time at the Avenue Q location. Called in to go food. Waited an hour for my food after calling it in. Others got their food that ordered after me while I was waiting. When I got back to the hotel with the food, they had given me extra bread and spaghetti, and a free dessert. But, my main order was terrible. Eggplant parmigiana. It was just 2 pieces of fried eggplant with a tiny sprinkle of melted cheese. No sauce. Didn’t look very appetizing. I ordered this because that’s what I had on the first visit and it was great then. I will give them another chance for dine in , but not for to go.More

Thanks for letting us know. We have changed the way we make Eggplant Parmesan. It should be back to what you remember. We tried sauce on the side but there was a revolt. Please give it another try. Thanks!

We weren't overwhelmed but the quality also wasn't bad. Decent food and prices. 30 minute wait time at 6:30 on a Saturday night in Lubbock if pretty quick.

Food was so delicious. Portions huge. Normally my family never needs to go boxes but here we did. They have a yummy queso. My husband and daughter finished it before I was close to finishing reading the menu. My husband and I was very impressed...that our waitress could tell you about each dish on the menu! Can not wait to go back.More

Being one of the few restaurants we’ve eaten at they the pandemic, I was unsure how this would go but the staff was super careful and wore masks making us feel very safe. The Italian food was really good. We had spaghetti, tortellini, and chicken...spaghetti. Chicken spaghetti was spicy which I wasn’t expecting but other than that I would definitely eat there again. Bruschetta was a great appetizer!More

I'm not much for Italian food so I can't speak to that but I am a burger fan and I have eaten a lot of burgers in Lubbock and have been sorely disappointed until I came here and had there Over the Border Burger. Wow,...it is made with hatch chiles, cheese and comes on some sort of really chewy bun that doesn't fall apart when eating. Service is quick, polite and personal. We have had some of there other dishes I can' remember the names but they were pasta dishes and they were very delicious. I don't live far away so this is my top go to place in Lubbock.More

Thanks for the 5 stars! It's funny isn't that an Italian place dishes out a good burger! Orlando's actually won the #10 burger in Texas Monthly once!

I think it's a great place for a date. Almost every time my husband and I have something to celebrate (anniversary, graduation, etc.), we go to Orlando's. The one on Indiana is more spacious than the one on Avenue Q. The... More
