Have been here several times and only ordered the chili Rellenos each time. They are big and filling and very tasty. They are large pablano peppers stuffed with ground beef, onions, potatoes, and spices, topped with a homemade red sauce and cheese, then broiled until bubbly. Served with rice and beans. They serve chips and two kinds of salsa -... More

I have eaten at Gonzalo's for years. They make you feel like family! All of the food is good-especially the tacos. Hot sauce comes in mild or hot. Love the cheese sauce on the enchiladas. Authentic food & good prices!

Gonzalo's is a family tradition for us when we are visiting for Thanksgiving. We always enjoy the good food and Mr. Gonzalo is always the perfect host making us feel welcome and joking around with us. The restaurant is small but is usually crowded and this time was no exception. The service is great and it is inexpensive.

I've just discovered Gonzalo's last year and I love it! I have to go everytime I'm in Longview. It's not new, flashy, or trendy, but the food is consistently excellent and the owner is a wonderful man. I've been trying to order different things when I go but I really love the chicken enchiladas. I will keep coming here as... More

We pulled up and I thought I was in the wrong place, so we re-checked our info. There was only one car besides us and that made us a little leery about it being good. We decided to give it a try and thankfully we did! We were welcomed warmly and in the time we studied the typical menu, the... More

After standing in the waiting area for an unreasonable amount of time, I noticed that a women (not the hostess) kept coming up and giving the "top secret hand sign????" and seating people ahead of those of us who had been waiting WAY too long.

Gonzalo's has been serving fresh, hot Mexican food from the same location for over 30 years, and we have been going there when we were in the areafor most of those years, usually for lunch. If you are looking for fancy decor, you will be disappointed, but if you want good basic Mexican food (tacos, enciladas, tamales, rice, refried beans,... More
