I really liked this place – good food, nice atmosphere, and a professional waitstaff that never stopped moving including the owner who was helping bus tables and seating the guests. I was even more impressed with the selection of whisky which rivaled many bars in...Houston and priced reasonably. Next time I am in town I am definitely stopping by here!More

Cool place with a nice atmosphere in the middle of downtown. The food was good quality and tasted great. Get the Brown Butter Cake for dessert you won’t regret it. Waiting staff is attentive and knows the drinks and menu well. Definitely will be coming...back next time we are in town!More

I was in town with a large group for a local sporting event and had already checked out Judd's website and had planned to go with a friend. After we completed our competition early on a Saturday evening, several others asked me if I had...a place in mind. Turns out 14 of us decided to go and Judd's was happy to accommodate us! The first few ladies arrived and they set several tables up to fit us along one wall. They still had plenty of seating for others and there wasn't a line, so we took our time with drinks and dinner. Our waitress did a phenomenal job - with so many people, we all got our food at the same time, everything was right and she kept drinks refilled. Splitting checks wasn't a problem either. We were VERY grateful for the service we received! The food was also wonderful. They have a little bit of everything - salads, pasta, chicken, pork, steak, seafood, flatbreads - and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. Extensive drink list (beers and wines plus some cocktails - try the Pink Lemonade Mule!) and very short dessert list were relatively pricey, but the meals were great portion size and right on price point. We really enjoyed our unexpectedly large gathering out and all agreed we'd surely go back when in town again!More

The food was great. The drinks were great. Our server was great - knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely go back. It’s a nice place with a cool vibe downtown. The acoustics are terrible though. You can hear everything! One loud woman and a table...of excited couches bounced all over the room.More

This was our first time to eat at Judd’s Downtown and we had a great experience. My wife and I are both recently retired so we’re out trying new places. We went to Judd’s during mid-afternoon on a weekday, so we were seated right away,...although there were quite a few customers. Our waitress (wish I remembered her name) was excellent - she was friendly and outgoing, and checked on us often enough without bothering us. We shared a charcuterie tray, which we both thought was better than the ones served by the local wineries in east Texas. I also ordered the chicken strip meal with fries, which was also good. Wife had a glass of wine. I had iced tea but will try one of their drinks next time we go there, which will be soon!More

I must say this place is the best place to see and be seen, but, if you want awesome food, this is not really where you need to spend your money. Very expensive and the food is just average. If you want to socialize and...drink with the "in" crowd this is the place to go! Locally owned though and that is always a plus!More

This is a lovely downtown restaurant with a nice varied menu. I got the roasted red pepper and smoked Gouda soup. I can't praise it enough. Deliciously creamy and with the perfect balance of smoky taste and smooth cheese. To my surprise it was served...with a grilled cheese sandwich which was also very tasty. This was a low key, quiet place to dine and I highly recommend it.More

My wife and I just left Judd's. I had a ribeye. It was one of the most tender steaks I've ever had. My wife had a seafood pasta dish that more than once she said was very good. With our entrees we had a choice...of two sides. I had sauteed vegetables. The serving was generous. The house salad is mostly fresh spinach with a blend of other vegetables. My steak was drizzled with a sauce. You can find the description on the menu. It looks like most of the meat entrees had some sort of sauce with them. I would suggest to the owner to keep doing this, but add a small cup with additional sauce on the side. In hindsight, I wish I had done this. We had creme brule for desert. It was great. I want to thank the owners for helping revive downtown Longview. They, along with other businesses, made it a little difficult to find a parking space on an early Tuesday evening. I think that's great! If I had one gripe, it would be that the restaurant is very 'hot' acoustically. They've retained the original brick walls, and the original building was long and a little narrow. The place was nearly full by the time we were done eating. Nobody was really speaking loudly, but it was tough for my wife and I to carry on a conversation. Again, this is a great choice for dining in Longview.More

After a hard week at work me and my colleagues thought we would give this a try since it was fairly new. Best decision made this week..... food was great! Loved the chef (as he had shared his cooking talents with our company for our...Christmas party years ago) and also met his mother. Fresh, vibrant food where you could actually taste the love. I had the penne shrimp pasta with a side order of bok choy, my co-workers had the french dip, sweet potato quesadillas, pork sliders, hamburger and we all shared the cheeseburger balls (YUM). Such a great place for lunch or a romantic date. Tell your family and friends because you won't be disappointed. Very welcoming and def. worth another lunch trip!More
