While visiting family we went here with a large group. We got there around 1115 to avoid any lines and to get a seat all together (11 total, 7 adults and 3 kids). We got two of the family meals for everyone to share and the price was very reasonable. The sides selection is very large and all the sides... More

Barbecue chicken is always dry. Peach cobbler they need to go to something different always has way too much bread and not enough peaches. I can't ever seem to get brisket that just melts in your mouth and is not too dry.

My very best advice is get there early. Unless you want to start your visit in the parking lot waiting in line to get in and eat. Especially on busy days. Cafeteria style serve yourself sides, meats by the pound and warm sauce are next. You help yourself again with condiments and order your beverage of choice. Pick a place... More

This was a really good restaurant until new owners took over about 6 months ago. The prices went up and the quality of food went down. So Sad! My family and I would frequent the restaurant several times a week - unfortunately the handful of visits in the past few months have been a major disappointment. On our last visit... More

Being born and raised in Lockhart, TX, I feel that I know a lot about GOOD BBQ. Chisholm Trail BBQ used to be good, when it was owned by Floyd Wilhelm. This is NOT a good place to eat anymore. The same owner of Henry's Burgers bought this restaurant, and should probably stick to burgers and fries. I ate there... More

Complete line of Bar-B-Que from beef to chicken. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, they serve catfish and Tuesday and Thursday, chicken fried steak. Excellent food and you can get the whole deal from salads, sides, and all the fixens Prices are very reasonable..

Stopped here because there was no wait. Should have known better. Cole slaw certainly out of a can. I've bought better BBQ sauce at Walmart. Sauerkraut and sausage marginal. Meat was nothing special. Had better at a BBQ place in Del Rio!
