Florida's home cooking is always spot on. Consistently great fried catfish, chicken fried steak, pies, and cakes. Bbq is good, too. Hubby loves it.

This a local favorite place to eat, tucked away on the backroads between Coldspring and Livingston, Texas. As with many local eating establishments, this one looks plain and rather like an old house (which it was) converted to a family restaurant. The food is very good home-style cooking and the staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The decor is... More

They have changed the set up - you go to the counter and order your food and the service is very slow. Last time I visited it took 20 minutes to order and another 15 for the food to come out. Sides were not hot and the ribs were lukewarm. It's a shame because this has always been our go... More

We've been regular customers for over a dozen years. We went last night - now we're not sure that we'll be back again. We do not like the new self-service format - which they went from having waitresses to ordering at the counter. (We have no issues with this model of self-service at other restaurants, but they don't know how... More

Had lunch there yesterday . I had been there before but a long time ago . They have done some remodeling . But , It is kind of like stepping back to the mid 50's and into a family owned restaurant of the time . It is basically and old house that has been turned into an eatery . A... More

Food was excellent. Service good as well, order at register have a seat then they deliver to your table. Didn't wait long for food or to order. Older restaurant but very clean. Off the regular path but worth the stop.

Went to lunch with friends. Several of us got the salad with brisket, sausage, and a rib on top. The salad was huge & full of meat. Delicious! There was no way to eat It all. Having seen them serving their homemade Italian Cream Cake I had to order a piece to take home. It was absolutely delicious!! I would... More

Great food, great service. Worth the drive. Catfish was great and the stuffed BBQ potato is large enough to share.

Loved this place! We started with fried pickle spears, which were on special that day and delicious. For the main course, I had ribs and fried okra. My boyfriend ordered the two meat plate with chopped beer and ribs plus baked beans and potato salad. Everything was great and the restaurant felt very homey.
