I was looking for a place near my temporary work site to get a good Mexican lunch. Not TexMex, mind you. I saw this place on TripAdvisor and had to try it. I was not disappointed. Its just a little hole in the wall place....I walked in and there was only two other tables occupied. The service was excellent, and the food fresh and hot. The salsa was sweet and warm. Chips looked home made. And the meal - delicious. The only bad thing, they close at 3:00pm. I wanted to bring my sweetheart here for dinner. But they open at 7am, so perhaps I can bring her for breakfast instead.More

The breakfast tacos are great, some of the best on the northeast side of town. Their regular breakfast meals are also good.

The most incredible breakfast tacos. I live for their egg, bacon, and cheese breakfact tacos. The house-made red salsa that comes with the tacos is so sublime, I could drink cups of it by itself. Sometimes I buy extra tacos to take home for a...later meal; they reheat well. So tasty. I've tried to make my own tacos like theirs, to no avail.More

This little restaurant is a find with a serious following! Not only is it so clean, but the food is made to order and delicious. The husband and wife team who own it and do the cooking make everyone feel at home and are anxious...to make sure you have a wonderful experience. The service very fast, especially since the food prepared as ordered. There is an early-bird breakfast taco special in the morning, 3 for $3.50 on select tacos, as well as a large variety of other and specialty tacos. They also offer breakfast tortas which may be customized. I have not tried these yet as I love their lunch specials; however I would expect them to be as good as everything else I have tried. There is a lunch special each day for $6.99 including tea. The enchiladas verdes are the best I have had. I also loved the chipotle enchiladas, the cheese enchiladas, and tortas. I have never seen a torta as big and as stuffed with filling as theirs are. The tortilla soup is probably the best I have ever tasted. The food is prepared with such care with wonderful delicate flavors and the presentation is beautiful. I can't wait to go back. The menu is extensive so there are many other plates besides the specials to try.More

Their food is wonderful, the service is excellent and my goodness, their oatmeal! It is perfect every, single, time. They take the time to do it right--the first time. I highly recommend Picosito.

We've lived and visited this location both when we lived there and when visiting to see our relatives and eating in always exceeds expectations, but getting it to go can be iffy. Check your order and ask for additional salsa/hot sauce otherwise you may be...disappointed. They are now on vacation, but definitely check them out - just eat in ;)More

I used to live in San Antonio and tried it many years ago as lived down the street - I recently visited (May) and they of course, insisted I have it - so ok, lets go. I ordered a bean and cheese breakfast taco and...a chorizo potato (add cheese). Both were fine in proportion size, but I like a really spicy salsa and some pico in my tacos. Literally a table of 4 with everyone eating and we received 4 (one for everyone) tiny - and by tiny, I mean tiny salsas in a plastic vessel with a lid on it like we were getting take out - which still would have been annoying as nowhere near enough for size of tacos. Now the flavor was ok, nothing to say negative, but nothing to rave about either. Interior is plain but clean for the most part - some tables needed to be bussed and they weren't busy. The service was fine, except they didn't acknowledge my request for pico and extra salsas or a hot one. I had to approach the counter area and request more. Again, a tiny plastic filled with bland salsa. It's ok, just not a place I would seek out. With so many wonderful places to chose from, I can't really recommend. Also, one last thought we got my daughter a to go taco and I noticed we were charged .50 extra - huh?More

This small mon/pop Mexican restaurant is located on Toepperwein Road in Live Oak, Tx. The food is generally good, and the portions are generous. It is a clean place and has good service. Breakfast is always good whether you get American style or Heuvos Rancheros,...or a migas plate. Single tacos are also good, either soft or crispy. Worth the time to stop by.More

This Mexican restaurant tucked into a small strip mall in the small city of Live Oak, TX serves up a delicious American or Mexican breakfast. Try the Huevos Ala Mexicana with the green salsa which has a nice spicy bite and a wonderful creamy taste....The flour tortillas here are thinner and denser than the fluffy flour tortillas found elsewhere. You can grab a breakfast torta too. It's worth the trip whether you eat there or take it with you!More
