Went to Kobe with three other business associates for dinner recently. It was the first time at this location for all of us. I orders two sushi rolls, which were both great, if not standard fare. If you go there, you should know that anyone celebrating a birthday is subjected to a group of pounding drums to the rhythm of "Happy Birthday To You." This happened a few times during the meal, and I found it quite jarring, making digestion a little bit challenging. I would suggest a different way to honor a birthday at Kobe, rather than this. Also, the booths need repair so that other guests don't disturb you during your meal.

We went as a family for lunch. They have an all you can eat option which offers appetizers, sushi, rice, salad, soups, and either chicken or shrimp with rice. There were 5 of us so between all of us we tried a lot of everything. The soups were good, typical of a hibachi. The house salad was fine but not great. The sushi was pretty good. The veggie rolls needed more rice and fell apart too easily. The fried rice was not very good. The spring rolls and crab ragoons were pretty good but could use more filing. The tilapia and chicken dinner plates were terrible. I would stick to sushi and appetizers if i were to go back. The service was great. I would question the cleanliness however since the hostess didn’t have her mask on and they have shared markers on the table and shared soy sauce that are left there even with all of the covid restrictions. They also sat us literally on top of another table of people and took our cups to refill rather than bringing new ones as is mandated with the new restrictions. We spent $110 with tip for a family of 5.

I’ve been here a couple of times this week for lunch. First, I met a gal pal for lunch. Today my husband and daughter accompanied me. Food was equally good both visits. Service just attentive enough. Both visits I tried new rolls - both were delicious. Note, the menu is all you can eat, but you are penalized with an additional fee if you don’t finish the sushi & sashimi - fee varies depending on the variety. I have never paid. I order two rolls and a soup or salad and that fills me up. We’ll be back.

“Today, my son, who has autism, and I had a deeply unpleasant experience at Kobe Teppan & Sushi. We asked for a more accommodating seating arrangement due to my son’s specific needs, but the manager was unreasonably rude and refused our request, stating it was against their policy. We even offered to pay extra for a suitable table, but our plea was disregarded. I strongly caution anyone considering dining here, especially those with special requirements, to reconsider their choice. #PoorService #Disheartened #Warning”

I took my daughter here because she loves sushi and we wanted to try something new. We arrived at opening time to avoid any wait. Our server was very nice and friendly. He checked on us many times. The prices were very reasonable. We ordered the Kobe sampler and 2 types of sushi and really enjoyed it, but it was the dessert (tempura ice cream) that was amazing. OMG it was delicious. There will be future visits.

We listened to one of the servers gossip at the hostess stand while we waited for a table. We were sat at a 8 top, but they squeezed 10 people in. The server had zero personality and didn’t bother to say hello before asking us everyone their ENTIRE order.. drinks, appetizer, & main, all in one breath (never mind the fact that we had been seated less than a minute and had no time to review the menu).
A moment later the manager discovered something leaking from the ceiling and decided the best course of action was to ask us to move to a different table so the family could slide down. Not a big deal, we were hoping to get a fresh start with a new server anyway.
The new server had slightly more personality, but had very little involvement throughout the meal aside from an occasional water refill, which isn’t much more than the hibachi chef interacted with us. The chef appeared tired and uninterested. He checked every box (very sloppy) and avoided fun at all costs. It was very rushed and when it was over he immediately cleaned the grill and disappeared.
As my husband and I started discussing dessert the server handed us the tab.. we took this as a hint that we should go somewhere else for a night cap and closed out.
The only part of this experience that was remotely pleasant was the two managers.. they were very nice and hopefully they can get ahold of their staff and replace the bad apples before their restaurant goes under.
We have no photos to share... it wasn’t with busting the camera out.

The food here is acceptable as a quick place to eat, but it does not meet the grade as a high quality sushi restaurant. You can get all you can eat sushi, but it is not gourmet. I did not eat at the tables where the cook is the show for the meal. Those at the tables seemed to be pleased with the show and the food offered.

My daughter convinced me to try Kobe. They recently opened about 6 months ago. A Wednesday night, we were the last customers and I was fearing not so great service. Not only was Ms. Priscilla very sweet, she was swift to help us and assure all was good. It was actually great. You can eat at the bar -- or a table or outside...we chose the Japanese Cowboy to serve us. He just got back from Japan the day before, he just came back! We laughed and had so much fun. The food was excellent. We split a meal as it was a lot of food. We got the shrimp & chicken - cold sake - meal was very good.

First, visit so maybe it will be good for you, but beware. Staff very friendly and accommodating so they are the reason they get any stars. Food under seasoned and not typical Japanese fare that I have had at other steakhouses. The Sushi was underwhelming at best and was never offered and sauces. If the cooks learn how to season their food this place could be rockstar. If not settle for subpar food with a smile.

My husband and I visited here shortly after it opened. Unfortunately, we ordered from the menu, which was somewhat difficult. Our server was not much help. We will go again, and this time we will sit in on the show, rather than use the menu.

Nice place to go for lunch with your work team. Not sure why half the team sat at the other table, but we got them corralled and over to one tepan table. The table chef was quite entertaining. Kept trying to toss things in our mouth, but he was no Spurs power forward. Great show on the table.
The salad left a little to be desired. Mostly iceberg lettuce.
The New York strip cooked on the table was very good.
It is a little more expensive than your average lunch, but you do get entertainment.

Tried this place for the first time as parking lot always appeared full. I ordered the teriyaki beef and my wife had the chicken yakisoba. The beef came in large chunks that were overly chewy and difficult to swallow. The accompanying fried rice was nothing special and about the same as served at Panda Express. The only high point were the stir-fried vegetables of which there were few. My wife's yakisoba had few vegetables, little chicken and nearly tasteless. For the price, this place was clearly not worth it. Would I eat here again? Absolutely not! The only high point was the service. Our server, Leila, was spectacular.

Food was very good. Portions were huge. Service was good. Prices were very reasonable with dinners on average in the mid $20’s. However, our chef wasn’t very entertaining compared watching the other chefs as well as my experiences at other teppanyaki restaurants.

Great atmosphere, great server, endless sushi & kitchen food for 17.95 per person. Must eat everything before ordering more. Don't worry the food was also great. Will definitely be back. Leaving on a full belly.
