We visited Ziggy Kielbasa House during a pandemic while on short vacation. The food is just amazing! It brings healthy options and new spin on taste of Polish cusine. The sausage selection appeals to Texas clients and will bring a new twist to traditional Polish...customers. We bought some samples (about 3 lbs) and snacked on them at the evening watching tv and next day on the way back to DFW. (4 hrs drive). The food in the restaurant is just a notch better by offering healthy choices of pork products. We had potato pancakes that were delicious. Pierogi variety -served as a finger food - were mix of traditional an new flavors, also very tasty. Breakfast sandwich on the fresh bun was mouthwatering and you wanted to eat more... The vegetable and potato salads were perfectly traditional way and also very good. We ate outside the store - during pandemic (nice option). Home made items in the store (fresh pickeles, pickled beets, borsch, pierogi, mustartd etc.) offer nice selection of organic choices even for the most demanding customers. Ziggy's Kielbasa House the hidden treasure of Polish food in the middle of Texas is the must visit for healthy snack and hearty meal. The store uses their logo on their containers, bags and high qulity paper to pack their sausages. Nice touch. We also liked the idea of writing what is included on each sasage package so we didnt' have to guess (not very common at regular Polish strores in US). The way the owners packaged each portion showed not only care but perfection in taking care of their product. The owners were friendly and took pride of their food. The place is very clean and store well organized. I am hearing - the large restaurant area on its way to serve more sit down food. The only sad part is that the store/restaurant is far away from us. The owner suggested checking their web-site for future mail orders. We will certainly be back either in person or via mail...More

I didn’t realize I was a fan of Polish food until I came to this place. The sausage is smoky, not greasy, and amazing. Last week I had the Mr. Jones pork burger and Borsht soup and it was out of this world. People are...really nice there and you can tell they take pride in their work. Not a lot of seating there. It’s more of a pick up the food to go kind of place. I brought home sausage and sauerkraut for dinner and my kids were so disappointed because apparently I did not buy enough. Everyone loved it.More

I strongly suggest trying this small restaurant. Ziggy's is in a strip center in Leander Texas. It is small but the food offered is a variety and is very good. We had Kielbasa served on a bun with potato pancakes, peppers and onions, Kielbasa with...sauerkraut, fries and pierogies. The bun was fresh, the sausage was really good and meaty, the vegetables were all fresh. I especially loved the fries and pierogies served with homemade applesauce and sour cream. We took home fresh pickles, sauerkraut and pickled mushrooms. I was so impressed. The owner was excited about the food he creates. The fact that it is different from other offerings in the Austin area made it all the more interesting and yummy.More
