Within the last 6 months my spouse and I are making this a regular bi-weekly stop. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The best prices are found by ordering a-la-cart instead of full meals. Fried shrimp, gumbo, coleslaw, and fries provides two meals plus leftovers for one the next day.

The quality and taste of the items that my family purchased were on point. I made a request to have my food items cooked a bit in the crispy side, but that did not happen. I struggle to eat soft fried seafood.
I don’t often give 5 stars, and I didn’t here either, but it was close. Everything was flavored very well. The service we received was awesome, but admittedly I ordered a gator drink that never came. She did not put it on the bill so I didn’t make a deal out of it.
Aside from those two minor infractions, everything else so so well prepared that I still gave 4 stars.
I will definitely give them another chance to get my food crispy when returning to this area. Thanks!

I asked the clerk at our hotel to recommend a restaurant frequented by locals; she pointed us to Little Daddy's, and it did not disappoint. I had oyster platter, my wife had blackened catfish- both were very good. Small place, a little on the noisy side with down home bayou music playing. We would recommend.. also, a shout out to our sever,Daniel G.

Well, to be more accurate I wasn't in Galveston, or even Galveston County, and I didn't have their Gumbo. But this great little restaurant right off the Highway in League City is a perfect stop coming back from Galveston!
I had the Jumbalaya Platter with blackened Catfish and Shrimp, and it was as outstanding as the service. The staff were quick to seat me and ensured I was well taken care of without smothering. Just great southern hospitality! A little pricey for the platter size but the cuisine was "Cookin"!
Thanks for brining a little Bayou to the Bay Area, I will be back!

Had a great time at Little Daddy’s Gumbo Bar in League City. Saw the large signs out front advertising $1 Jumbo Shrimp and Hot Boiled Crawfish and my friends and I couldn’t resist.
Crawfish had a spicy garlic butter tobasco flavor with the corn potatoes and sausage to boot for only a small up charge. Also had 12 fried shrimp for $12. Heck of a deal. Our server Ashley said they have a liquor license coming soon and we can’t wait to come back and sit at the bar for a few cocktails! Definitely worth a visit!

Go to TJ Reeds/Flippers for a similar menu, with better food and immensely better customer service.
I want to start off by saying that the server Kyra did an excellent job.
The issue was with the manager, Martha (middle aged Asian woman), I believe her name was. First, she was loudly berating a guest, who was by herself at a table, across the restaurant for "picking her teeth"? SUPER unprofessional and unnecessary. I felt so bad for that woman. Should you "pick your teeth" in public? Probably not. But was she hurting anyone? Absolutely not.
Second, I ordered a side of red beans and rice to go. The server charged me for the red beans and rice with fish because she "didn't know which one I wanted." I don't agree with that approach, but no big deal, just adjust my ticket because that is not what I ordered. Well, the manager came out and began to loudly interrogate the server, ranting loudly, and went as far to comment that I was trying to get free food. Mind you my bill was around $60 at lunch for my son and I. She told the server to take the fish out of my togo bag. I just sat at my table and smiled at her, as hard as that was. The server awkwardly asked to take the fish out of the bag, which I had absolutely no problems with because again, I did not order it to begin with. The manager disappeared back into the kitchen door.
The managers actions completely ruined my experience and we will not be back. As someone who worked in restaurants for over a decade and managed for majority of that time, I can confidently say that everything that that manager did was wrong and unprofessional. You do not treat guests or employees that way.

I’m REALLY picky about eating gumbo out bc I make my own from my Cajun grandmother’s recipe and it’s pretty dang good if I say so myself. This gumbo was excellent, the restaurant atmosphere pleasing, and my waitress Olivia took good care of me. Despite the never ending construction on 646 it’s easy to get to and leave from. I’ll definitely be back and might try the jambalaya next time if I don’t have another bowl of gumbo.

We've been to this Little Daddy's location several times in the past. The service was ALWAYS top notch. Attentive and effective wait staff were very good and food was prepared quickly.
Tonight, a Tuesday, things weren't nearly as efficient. We ordered a House special of supposedly blackened catfish with etouffe, a burger with fries, and cups of gumbo as appetizers.
We also requested a to-go of gumbo.
There were four other couples in the restaurant. Staffing had a manager, two waitstaff, a gumbo prep, and a cook in the kitchen.
Service was slow and the we never got the entire order.

I am a local, and absolutely support local businesses. We went to little daddy's gumbo today for my birthday dinner and our server, Demestri was absolutely FENOMINAL! He communicated with us when something took a bit long, he got us started on drinks, even put in a small order of fries for my 17 month old + checked on us every 5-10 minutes. Very friendly face and an excellent server in all aspects of serving! Below is our entrees: Blackened shrimp platter with rice (dad can't chew fries), and I had the daily special which is half a pound of snow crab,muscles, shrimp, green beans, potato + corn. Not spicy but their sauce is delicious!

The fish platter was $17 (which isn't a bad price but it only had one catfish filet. It must have been brined because it tasted like it was fresh out of the salt water (catfish are freshwater). Was it swai or some other white fish and cost more thus only one,
The calimari was rubbery and not served as hot as we'd have liked and also salty.
The Munbo Gumbo was the saving grace. It was quite good.

MMMMMMMM! Absolutely fabulous! We ate here two days in a row because there were so many choices on the menu that we had to have. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Food is the best I have had outside of New Orleans original. Can’t say enough! I have no idea how the restaurants nearby do any business whatsoever with this being an option. The catfish, grilled or blackened is impeccable. The étouffée is second to none. Unbelievable, french fries! I’ll likely be traveling to/thru S. Houston more often now that I found this gem.

Exceptional atmosphere… our 1st visit we walked in & the greetings were echoed “a plus for me”. Chely our server was on 10 with a sense of humor, & very knowledgeable of menu & even gave her recommendations, I loved the honesty from Chely ( everything is good) lol. Everything we ordered was prepared to our request, everything was hot & very tasty. Serving portions are pleasing !

This was our second time here, and it was wonderful! My friend from Louisiana said the Bourbon Street Platter was the best seafood he's had in a long time. That is high praise coming from him. My grilled shrimp were also delicious. I normally get blackened shrimp or fish at other places, but I get grilled here because they use plenty of spice!

My wife and I ate here this past Friday night. I had gumbo and my wife had the coconut shrimp.
The "small" gumbo is anything but small. The gumbo was very good and the coconut shrimp were to die for. Both dishes are definitely do overs and we highly recommend both.
The service was excellent and attentive.
There is a bar with wine, beer and mixed drinks

Great food and service. Highly recommend the stuffed jalapeños and gumbo. Our server, Chely, was super attentive and kind. One of the owners, Danny, even stopped by and gave us the history of the place and his recommendations. Will definitely return!
