I went with some of my family for brunch, and and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals! We started with the sampler and the Texas Caviar(ask for extra bread!) The crab beignet was just the right combination of seasoning, the sober sticks are delicious, and I...can't tell you how good the pimento cheese spread was!
The Bloody Mary was one of the best I've had in a long time and we were all extremely happy with our main dish! I got the Duck Pastor tacos, very nice combination of savory and spicy with a hint of sweet, which really offset the richness of the duck. My extremely picky daughter got the pulled pork sandwich and she really wants to go back with her husband. Another daughter got the duck B.L.T. and was equally impressed. Over all, I can't say enough about the food quality and flavors.
I plan on going back quite soon.More
During the week, it's not crowded, which is nice. The bartenders were friendly. On Thursdays, they showcase a new, live musician. Miguel Lopez was good. When he was done, the bar continued playing good rock, and they added a little hip hop when it was...later. The draft prices are normal for around here.More
We went in early to watch baseball and Thursday night football. The pub was not busy, only the bartender working the front. She was very nice and handled the bar area and taking orders from the menu. Everyone was taken care of the service and...food was very good.
More people started coming in around 9pm and 2 others came in and our bartender / server was leaving. I was thankful she came by and told us she was leaving so I could close out my ticket and leave her the tip. She deserved it.
If I went back to this area I would go back to the pub.More
A group I dine out with regularly went here. First, the interior really isn't suited for a group. We had to move tables to accommodate nine people, and to do that, we had to bring chairs from another area. Once the pub filled up, there...was no way to leave the table without having someone move his or her seat. There were not enough servers; it was almost an hour from the time I ordered duck wings until I got them. Eventually, we had to go to the bar to pay our bill. As far as I could see, there were three servers, and two were behind the bar. I felt sorry for the one girl who was trying to cover the entire dining room. On the plus side, once we got our food, it was excellent. I had the duck wings, others had the crab beignets and the Korean tacos, and everyone said the food was good. Several items, including the beignets, are $5 during Happy Hour. Tne duck wings were $9.50 for four wings; that is abour $2.30 each. Probably would not order again. However, I am not sure the good food compensates for the two hours we spent there just getting a couple of drinks and something to eat. The place was packed and does seems popular.More
