It’s a local bar that also serves food, nothing to get excited about, just locals having a good time.

Good food but be prepared for the sports bar atmosphere! If you want to talk to yiur dining partners...no bueno! I found service a bit uneven.

My wife and I first visited Centerfield 3 years ago and loved the pizza, burgers and nachos. Service was great and bartenders very helpful in finding a good local beer. Went a number of times. The last two times we went service was bad, and...food quality has gone down hill. Burger not very good and fries just bad. We will try another time but if they don't improve will just not go any longer.More

Have been here several times. Twice for lunch and once for dinner. There is a big difference. Although the food is good, the lunch service is lacking unless you sit at the bar or close to the bar. Just a note. Pizza, burgers and more...are good to eatMore

My fiance was in the restroom and noticed a cook that went to the restroom and immediately went back to the kitchen! Never paused to wash his hands! WATCH out. NO way I would eat here again after this!

We hadn't been to this local spot in quite awhile, and were looking forward to a tasty burger and french fries. For a Friday night at 6pm, the place was empty, plenty of seating choices, which we've never seen before. We weren't told of any happy...hour specials, so not sure if they have that anymore. They were training a bartender, so my mixed drink ended up being remade, no big deal. Burgers are $10, also not such a big deal, but no side of any kind was included with it. Even fries were extra, but we wanted them regardless. They came out looking like shoe-string potato chips(do they still make those?), very thin and tiny. Most of the 'batch' was no more than 1 inch in length. Although the burger was very good, we were disappointed with the changes in the menu, and will think twice before returning.More

This is a reasonable place to catch the game! Food is good and service is quick. They offer many beers on tap and have a reasonable menu. We especially like the wings!

Went for lunch. Service is a little slow since I didn't sit at the bar. The food is pretty good. Lots of TVs. It was a light lunch crowd, maybe 10, with 2 other couples at tables. Have been there twice. The food, better than...typical bar food, is good and priced reasonably. Tight street parking unless you park on a side street.More

We live close to Centerfield Sports Bar and Grill so it's convenient for us to go there for a quick meal. It's Tuesday night so it's not crowded. There are some regulars there who get most of the attention but we were not ignored. The...hostess came to our table withing a minute or two and took our drink and appetizer order. When she returned with out drinks we were ready to order our food and our order was taken. We had a special request to cook the hamburgers all the way through...no pink. That's just the way they arrived. Perfectly cooked just as we had requested. Now...about the burgers. Nothing too fancy but the Buffalo Blue Bacon Cheeseburger is the best I've ever had at any location. Their buns are slightly sweet and soft. Not your typical store bought buns but rather a soft version of a sweet Ciabatta roll. The rich bacon and flavorful beef are in direct contrast to the Blue cheese and Buffalo sauce which make for a wonderful Yin and Yang experience. The Hobo burger with it's over easy egg on top of an Onion ring is rich and delicious. I love hamburgers that is a fact. Is this the best burger I've ever had? Hmmm. It's the best non-traditional burger I've ever had that's for sure. Would I go if it wasn't within 5 minutes of my house....yes. Would I go by myself....yes. Would I take a first date there for dinner? Can't say been married 30 years. I'll drive hours to try something special. This is one spot where I'm lucky it's just down the road from my house. You owe it to yourself to give it a try otherwise you'll just never know.More

We had some errands to run in Kyle this evening and I started searching online for somewhere to eat and found mostly positive reviews for Centerfield Sports Bar & Grill. We arrived around 6pm and found only a few patrons sitting at the bar. The...only apparent employee in the entire restaurant was the bartender. He brought us menus in a timely fashion and took our drink orders; he was visibly disappointed when we both ordered water. We ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer, my wife ordered the Turkey Club and I ordered the "Texas burger". The fried pickles arrived and were average at best. The first thing we noticed when our food arrived was my wife's sandwich had tomato on it despite being ordered without tomato, next we noticed that it was supposed to be served on "Texas Toast" and it was served on basic white bread not Texas Toast. My "Texas Burger" was nearly inedible due to the amount of bbq sauce on it. There was enough sauce on it to marinate a full rack of ribs. Even after wiping off some of the sauce it was stilly very saucy. In addition the roll it was served on was somewhat stale tasting. I had fries as my side and they were very limp, soggy and oily. As some online reviews stated, the service was next to terrible. I understand the bartender was the only server in the establishment but we were seated next to the bar and there were only a few patrons at the bar. It seemed very clear he was uninterested in us because we were not drinking. Aside from the poor service, aside from the lousy tasteless food it was also expensive. My burger and fries were $10.50 and my wife's was about the same. I can't believe I spent close to $30 on such a subpar meal. If this is one of the best the City of Kyle has to offer, folks please come north about 10 miles and learn what good food is.More

The little town of Kyle is quickly becoming anything but little, but, right on Main Street, you can still find the small town attitude and architecture. Among the old buildings of "downtown" Kyle, you'll find this place, and they wisely incorporated the old building decor...in to the atmosphere. It adds a nice "home" touch to the place. It's a sports bar, so the walls (and any available space) is splattered with flat-screen TVs, all blaring different stations. The night we stopped in, there was a SPURS game on, and it was VERY loud. Being a musician, I don't mind volume, but this was at an uncomfortable level. Still, it was to be expected, so we just dealt with it. Service was very polite and expedient, even though they appeared to be understaffed. The bartender took our initial order, as he was the only employee to be found. Nevertheless, he was still polite and attentive. The restaurant was full of people from all walks of life - families, blue collar workers, couples, and several professionally dressed men and women (coming straight from the office, I imagine). The menu isn't extensive, but it is straightforward - appetizers, salads, sandwiches/burgers, and pizzas. I had the buffalo blue cheese bacon burger (I had them hold the buffalo sauce, which was a good choice, because it tasted like "burning". I imagine it would have ruined the burger had they included that on there), and my wife had the turkey club. I enjoyed my burger for the most part, but my wife's sandwich left a lot to be desired. The bread was good, but, the rest of the sandwich was "deli slices", and nothing all that great. Still, we had a great time enjoying another one of the few "non-chain" restaurants in our little town. We will return here, and I suggest you give it a try!More
