You really can't miss Jenny's if you're passing through Kirbyville, TX. I live a few miles outside Kirbyville and Jenny's is our after-church- lunch every Sunday, and I do mean EVERY Sunday. The fried chicken is the best ever!! They've changed their french fries and...they are delicious ... much better than they used to be. The Fish/Shrimp special on Wednesday is awesome too, but remember, Jenny's is a chicken restaurant. Although all the food is really good, if you order anything besides chicken, be ready for a short wait. We always go as a group and if we have to wait longer than 5 minutes for our food, someone says "okay, who ordered something besides chicken?" But our food is always hot no matter how long we've had to wait. And the reason for the long lines? The place is popular!! The rolls? They aren't meant to be hot. And Barbara (the "senior lady with multiple rings on every finger" as described by Richard P) is a Jenny's Legend. Don't let her no-nonsense exterior fool you ... she's a sweetheart. It wouldn't be Jenny's without Barbara! We all love her.More

I really liked this cute place. The fried chicken was good, and the cole slaw was excellent. It's a nice place and they are cooking up mountains of Southern food.

I don’t know how anyone can gripe about this location! Maybe others but not this one! I think it all depends on who is in management and who the workers are! The food here is excellent! Yes there is always a bit of a wait...for food but it’s well worth it and always fresh! A+More

My wife and I were first time travelers through Kirbyville. We had just left a funeral in a nearby small town and needed some good food to brighten our spirits before completing the 2 hour drive home. Once inside we stood in line for a...few minutes. While waiting I noticed that there were no friendly greetings from any of the staff to the patrons. When it was our turn to place our order the senior lady (wearing multiple rings on every finger) never looked up, never made eye contact, or said anything really while we ordered our food. There was no hello, no welcoming remarks...Zero. I ordered chicken with mashed potatoes and dirty rice. My wife, ordered a corndog, and grilled cheese sandwich. After 26 minutes of waiting (time was on receipt) for our order while watching 10 others who came in after us get their food I approached the counter to find out what was going on, but had to stand in line since there wasn't anyone from management in sight. While waiting I saw a tray of food on a table behind the order counter and noticed kid employees were sending out orders. After 4 minutes of standing in line to complain about the long wait a kid adds a corndog on the food tray and walks past me and calls our number. So, after 30 minutes we get our food. My wife's grilled cheese sandwich was cold. My chicken was luke warm. The dirty rice was luke warm as were the mashed potatoes and tasted like typical fast food potatoes and the roll they include with the meal was cold and meaningless. My wife's corndog was piping hot. Its easy to see what happened. The kids sending out orders prepared everything before the corndog was ready, plus it doesn't take 30 minutes to fry a corndog. Running a restaurant is more than cooking good food. Its public relations, service with a smile, management oversight of all positions including the dining room, and employing people that love what they do. They failed on this day. The only reason I didn't give a terrible rating is because the chicken had good flavor, but there was more warmth at the funeral we attended that day.More

The environment is just great! The fried chicken is incredible. And to top that off the hand dipped waffle cones and ice cream is just delicious! This place is great for family fun and friends. My wife and I were totally stuffed with great food...and ice cream for 21.00 dollars! You can’t beat that!More

Brand new building and only one cash register open with 12 people in line. I waited ten minutes and only one order got taken so I walked out. Only other time I've been here it took 30 minutes to order and get my food. A...lot of people don't have this kind of time to kill.More

Was directed to this fab little diner through the grapevine, through the grapevine...through the grapevine lol in fact everyone I spoke to directed me to Jennys on my way through Kirbyville. Lots of menu choices and the chicken is excellent, the onion rings are equally...as good! Although SE Texans do not seem to have the same appreciation for vinegar as I do on onions rings lol..they do know how to make a killer ranch dressing to dip them in. (I will bring my own vinegar next time haha). Thanks for a great lunch Kirbyville!More

Jenny's is a must try in Kirbyville. Locals know every night they have a different special. Their fish on Wednesday evenings is famous. Everything there is homemade and fresh battered. Wonderful staff, owner and chicken
