We stopped at Rio Ranch Cafe based on TripAdvisor reviews, and were not disappointed. Excellent food and service. Don’t be put off by the building facade, it is worth the trip.

Everything is homemade and fresh. Crisp salads. Good assortment of side dishes. Blackboard specials and homemade desserts. Well worth the drive from Kerrville.

Whether you are eating breakfast, lunch or dinner, Rio Ranch is the place to be. One of our favorites is the Blackened Salmon Salad. The daily specials are very tasty. Service is good and friendly.

Waitstaff is sincere. Food was exciting. Atmosphere is homey, welcoming. There open use of brisket is a draw to the most hardened, local crowd.
