And that's saying a lot in Texas! Ordered one pound of brisket for take out. The young man working the counter pulled out a fresh brisket from the coal still in the foil. He unwrapped the foil and there sat one of the most delicious...looking slabs of meat I'd ever seen live! This was food show worthy! He cut my one pound of meat right there in front of me while I waited, then they wropped it nicely in foil and adde a fair sized bbq sauce for me to take out in a pristine white bag to go. It was some of the best, if not THE best brisket I had ever had! It was tender and juicy with just the right smoke and seasoning. Well worth the effort to seek this place out! I cant' wait to go back!More

Ordered 1 pound of brisket and a sausage ring. This is the best damn barbeque I've ever had. It's so good, that I'll gladly drive the 50 minutes from my house to eat there again. Excellent service, and excellent food!!

The Brisket was soooo tender and moist. Definitely worth the money. The staff were helpful. Ate here a few times while we were there. Looking forward to coming back.

The meat falls off the rib bone when you take a bite. The sausage has a great flavor and the sliced beef is tender, moist and great.

If you are looking for upscale ambiance this is NOT the place. But if you’re looking for great basic BBQ, Giant iced tea, onions and great fixings’ you’ll find them here. A local secret.

We enjoyed the 3 meat plate and split it. More then enough food. Its served with out the sauce, but the sauce is in a cup on the side. Great sauce! You can put as much or little on your meat. My husband love lots...of sauce; I am happy with a little. Bread is on the table to mop up all the extra juices. We had chicken, brisket, and pulled pork as our meats.More

So far this is the best BBQ we have had in all of Texas. They had our favorite pulled Pork and not just the standard brisket and ribs. The place is very casual as most are but its also very clean inside with loaves of...fresh bread right on the table to use to sop up the great tasting BBQ sauces. The family and service is so friendly and helpful. We were made welcome...not just rushed along a cafeteria line as happens in some places. Bill's is on the left hand side of the road leading west between Kerrville and Ingram. Keep an eye out, its easy to miss. It looks a little more like a lean-to with a side door. We looked but missed it the last time we came to the area. But this time we zeroed in....and so glad we did. We will be back and we will recommend it to friends.More

I’m a born and bred Texan, and I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ, and Bill’s stands among the best I’ve had. If you’re in the area and are craving some good ole BBQ, Bill’s is the place to go! Brisket moist and tender; sides &...dessert homemade; decor is honest Texas style. Lots of locals eat here, which is always a good sign. The folks were friendly, too.More

Yes, they offer chicken breasts or 1/2 chicken. It is slow smoked and very juicy.
