I had the brisket and it was excellent. The potato salad was excellent too yet the beans were not flavorful. I will go back.

We stopped here for an early dinner. We love barbecue and Texas sure knows how to do it. We thought the food was delicious. I had a brisket sandwich platter and my husband had the three meat platter - chicken, ribs, and brisket. All the...meats were tender and tasty. The sandwich was more meat than bread which I truly appreciate. Now, if you want fancy dining, I’d keep driving. But, the food and staff were nice and we enjoyed talking with the other diners in the dining room. That’s a win-win for us. Our total with drinks was $35.More

We stopped in for a late lunch. Nothing fancy about this place. It is typical of many central Texas barbecue joints. It is a small place where you get a tray and pick up your food, pay, then find a place to sit in the...dining area. I have eaten lots of barbecue across Texas. It was not the best by far but it was good and portions were generous. Of course you have to remember average barbecue in Texas is better than the excellent rated in other states.More

Ordered a medium plate with brisket and sausage. Both meats were very delicious. The potato salad was also very good. The only disappointment was the beans which lacked much flavor.

Brought out of town guests there before and was pleased. This time we picked up food for out of town guests and were very disappointed. The beans had no flavor, potato salad was ok, the sausage was ok, the chicken was not good, the brisket...was ok. There were 8 that were eating tonight and all were kind of shocked that the food was not better. The locals eating who had dined with you before could not believe this was the quality that you put out today.More

This was recomended by the resort we were staying. We were disappointed in the BBQ. It was average not anything to brag about. My wife got the potato salad as one of the sides and it was not home made. I got the baked potato...and it was hard and not very good. We ordered the brisket, and it was OK, we could brisket better than that. Overall we were disappointed in the food.More

We visited the small facility on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 in the late afternoon. Walking right in we ordered. The sliced brisket sandwich and stuffed baked potato were good. Potato salad was delicious. We dined in the uniquely decorated eating area. All staff were friendly.

And that's saying a lot in Texas! Ordered one pound of brisket for take out. The young man working the counter pulled out a fresh brisket from the coal still in the foil. He unwrapped the foil and there sat one of the most delicious...looking slabs of meat I'd ever seen live! This was food show worthy! He cut my one pound of meat right there in front of me while I waited, then they wropped it nicely in foil and adde a fair sized bbq sauce for me to take out in a pristine white bag to go. It was some of the best, if not THE best brisket I had ever had! It was tender and juicy with just the right smoke and seasoning. Well worth the effort to seek this place out! I cant' wait to go back!More

Ordered 1 pound of brisket and a sausage ring. This is the best damn barbeque I've ever had. It's so good, that I'll gladly drive the 50 minutes from my house to eat there again. Excellent service, and excellent food!!
