Seriously the best brisket I’ve ever eaten! When you walk up and you see all those smokers, you know they’re serious about their bbq. They make their sauce fresh everyday. It’s a 5 hour process with no artificial ingredients. This is a hole in the...wall barbecue place that you must try. Great service and great food - you cannot go wrong here!More

We stopped in on a Tuesday are 4:00. Not busy at all. There were five of us. Two of the group got the stuffed potatoes, one got a brisket sandwich, another got the large brisket sandwich and I go the two meats plate, brisket and...ribs. The brisket was delicious and the ribs the meat came right off the bone and the meat was delicious and juicy. Sides of beans and potato salad were good. Everyone enjoyed what they got. May have to stop again while in the area.More

We had been wanting to try this place which is located between Kerrville and Ingram on Junction Hwy. There are a few parking places on in the front and more towards the back. As you enter your conveniently order where the menu is posted. Then...you walk around the counter getting your sides, condiments and drinks (if ordered). A one meat plate with two sides start at $15 and a sandwich with one meat starts at $10. We ordered two brisket sandwiches, two sides and drinks and cost was right at $36. The hospitality and service is TOP NOTCH and the food did not disappoint. The brisket was super tasty, tender and juicy. The potato salad was just right as was the beans and coleslaw. The ice tea was just right too. As you exit with your tray you pay at the end of the counter. They have indoor seating in a rustic setting with large picnic tables and smaller tables as well. There is outside picnic tables to the side and back as well with some shaded. This place is nothing fancy BUT it has loads of personality and the food was delicious. We will be back again in the near future.More

The BEST bbq I’ve had in years! True Texas brisket & ribs. Oh man my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The hubby & I ate here for the first time a few days ago (May 2023) and honestly I could eat there every...single day! The ‘wet’ brisket was too die for. Just lean enough to be juicy & yummy. I do have one thing negative to say, just one …. well maybe 2 things I didn’t like, the beans and the bbq sauce. Both had too much chili powder…and smoked paprika?? But the meat is so worthy of going there for that those 2 things can easily be overlooked. The people who work there are so friendly and really seem to love their jobs. I highly recommend taking a drive over there and getting yourself some dat beebeeque. Oh and the buttermilk pie, pecan pie and the sweet tea are great too.More

This place is amazing, great bbq and it tastes amazing!! Walking in your greeted immediately and order is taken right away. Meats are cut and served right in front of you, sides you serve your self as well as drinks and dessert. Ordered the turkey...and pork spare ribs 2 meat plate with potato salad, beans, bread and sweet tea. First bite and you know you done right! Ribs were fall off the bone good, so much flavor and no sauce needed (they know how to cook bbq). Turkey was the most moist and flavorful I've ever had, which is something I usually find can be dry at places. Didn't take long to finish as it was so good, everyone we went with finished quickly! Owner showed us the pits outside and some ins and outs of his operation. Definitely a hidden gem and off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Yes I would come out of my way to go back here again when in the area. Sorry no pictures of the food I was hungry and it went down quickly!More

We stopped because this was close to the RV campground and boy, were we glad we did. Great pulled pork and sausage and the potato salad was delicious. Will make a point to go back in future. Didn't think it was all that pricey considering...how high everything is today.More

Not the best bbq and VERY pricey!! The bbq is good but does give me indigestion from the vinegar and a lot of fat on the meat.

Absolutely fabulous bbq. The brisket is great! I got the family pack to go over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Couldn’t have been better. The family loved it. Tender and tasty. Sausage was sliced and very good. Potato salad and cole slaw yummy.

Stopped for a pick up order and then went to a park. Shared a 3/4 of brisket with double potato salad. It was tender and flavorful. We enjoy the bbq sauce as well. We would definitely order from there again. Quick service as well!

I had the brisket and it was excellent. The potato salad was excellent too yet the beans were not flavorful. I will go back.

We stopped here for an early dinner. We love barbecue and Texas sure knows how to do it. We thought the food was delicious. I had a brisket sandwich platter and my husband had the three meat platter - chicken, ribs, and brisket. All the...meats were tender and tasty. The sandwich was more meat than bread which I truly appreciate. Now, if you want fancy dining, I’d keep driving. But, the food and staff were nice and we enjoyed talking with the other diners in the dining room. That’s a win-win for us. Our total with drinks was $35.More

We stopped in for a late lunch. Nothing fancy about this place. It is typical of many central Texas barbecue joints. It is a small place where you get a tray and pick up your food, pay, then find a place to sit in the...dining area. I have eaten lots of barbecue across Texas. It was not the best by far but it was good and portions were generous. Of course you have to remember average barbecue in Texas is better than the excellent rated in other states.More

Ordered a medium plate with brisket and sausage. Both meats were very delicious. The potato salad was also very good. The only disappointment was the beans which lacked much flavor.

Brought out of town guests there before and was pleased. This time we picked up food for out of town guests and were very disappointed. The beans had no flavor, potato salad was ok, the sausage was ok, the chicken was not good, the brisket...was ok. There were 8 that were eating tonight and all were kind of shocked that the food was not better. The locals eating who had dined with you before could not believe this was the quality that you put out today.More
