Nice outdoor seating area. Food is average. Service was good. Price exceed food quality...but the waterfront seating on a nice idea is worthwhile.

We arrived at the restaurant shortly after 7 and was seated promptly. Our waiter greeted us and took our drink order immediately and returned shortly there after to take our food order. The restaurant was clean minus the stack of boxes next to the restrooms. The view was amazing and the food was delicious. My friends and I can't wait... More

We called in here after a visit to the Space Centre. We took a seat outside. There were four of us so at first we sat at a seat for six so we would have plenty of room. We were asked to move to a table for four even though it was early evening and hardly anybody there. It's a... More

One of the top choices for restaurants around the water on the Kemah Boardwalk. The portions are huge, the view is nice, the service is pretty good, only thing is they push selling a Landrys value card before you leave. Try to avoid peak dinner hours in order to get a table on the terrace with a water view. Prices... More

Our friends had fond memories of eating here on many occasions in the past and we took them down as a treat and for the kids to have some fun in Kemah. I try not to write bad reviews of places but after such high hopes everyone was disappointed with the food. It wasn't bad and everyone ate what they... More

We enjoyed our meals at both the Flying Dutchman Restaurant and Oyster Bar. At FD, we enjoyed the salad which was a good portion with fresh shrimps and crab.

We have eaten at the Flying Dutchman many times. We ordered grilled salmon with green beans and a shrimp cocktail. The salmon was very bland and the green beans had way too much of a bell pepper taste to them. The shrimp cocktail was 10.99 and we got 7 shrimp and they were seasoned with a spicy seasoning that just... More

Based on the reviews we had good expectations of the Flying Dutchman. The reality is that their seafood is pretty standard, out of the frozen bag stuff. Which is certainly fine, if that is what you think you are getting. We were expecting some fresh seafood, especially for the price. I guess I would say everything was ok, and if... More

The restaurant is very nice. The view of the bay was nice watching boats come and go. Service was really good. The food was beyond expectations. The prices are a little high so be prepared.
