Very pleasant when ordering and nice family atmosphere. I will say that I think their food has gone down a bit in quality but I'm hoping that's a supplier issue. Will try them again!

We found this restaurant by accident, and found a lovely, family run affair. The Jasmine tea was great and the food was even better. There was a homely atmosphere with tasty food - perhaps some of the best we've tasted. I had the Szechuan chicken...and my colleague the chicken in black bean sauce. It came with a serving of jasmine boiled rice. It was so tasty and filling. This is a must for our next visit.More

Our Family as ate here for years, very clean with a friendly staff. Food is good with good potions that can easily be split.

Took the family out for dinner... our first time at China Cottage. Very pleased with the experience. The decor was nice, with multiple large fish tanks and Chinese art on display. Service was very friendly and helpful. They also have a separate menu in Mandarin....Food was delicious, though next time I'll order it with just a little less salt to suit my taste. Everyone was pleased and we all felt that this should be a repeat experience for the family. Great job!More

This is good food at reasonable prices. My wife and I enjoy this place and even though its a drive we try to go a few times a year. They cook everything fresh The pot stickers are a good way to start

This is the only place we get Chinese food from. There are other choices, but the owners are so nice and welcoming and the food has never let us down. Although we don't get to eat in, there is always a good number of people...dining when I'm picking up the food. We'll be back!More

This is the best Chinese takeout for the money in Katy. The appetizers are as big as entrees, the egg drop soup is a favorite of my 7 year old, we love the General Tso's chicken and house special lo Mein. Not too expensive either....Check it out, you wont be disappointed.More

I don't do many reviews, but this place deserves one-A DARN AMAZING one. My whole family loves their food and they give you ample portions; but we all agree, there is just something so calming and comforting about them. I really cannot put my finger...on it; all I know is, that's the feeling I get, and when I've had a really stressful or hard day, everything just seems to be better when I leave here. They've been here forever, so go figure-enough said in Katy, TX where competition is pretty fierce, restaurant-wise. If you're looking for a place with basically "no" turnover-where it gets to the point they remember you and what you like-with amazing food, served promptly; in a nice, calming atmosphere; believe me, you won't be disappointed with China Cottage :) Just FYI our favorite dishes are: General tso's chicken (we get it mild); chicken lo-mein; and our daughter likes the sweet and sour chicken. My husband RAVES about their hot and sour soup, and I like their wonton soup.More

We decided to eat here because of the good reviews on Trip Advisor. We won't be back. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable. The flavors were muted, the fried rice was soggy and the service was slow.

The service was outstanding, language difficulties aside. Most of the family enjoyed their dinners, I ordered the General Tsao's Chicken which was so salty that I threw away the leftovers. It is clean except for the men's room which was disgusting. The owners are on...premise and are very nice. A bit pricey.More

I do not know but I would be very reluctant to eat there again as the food was tasteless. The people were nice though spoke very accented and hesitant English so, if you order to go, I suggest you have them repeat the order... More
