The food is very good and reasonably priced. The left hand side is quite noisy so we prefer to sit in the right hand side. Has great margaritas too!!

Quick service, had drinks very fast and they didn't wait too long to take the order. We came in at lunch and it was pretty busy. The place is pretty noisy which makes it hard to have a conversation but other than that it was a good experience.Pollo del Rio is very good.
There are things I like about different Mexican food restaurants, but a staple is fresh salsa. I really like there's because it is usually hot and fresh. It's just the right amount of spicy hot and a really good consistency.
I have been to 4 different locations over the last three years. I have had bad experiences at all 4 locations. Bad service, bad food, a/c was out in one location.
I've been to a couple Los Cucos locations. I'm not sure why it took so long to try the Old Town Katy location. It was a great experience. Their chips and chili con queso were excellent. The green salsa was fantastic, too. As a main course, we had the Parrillada. It was very good. It came with beef and chicken... More
This is my favorite way to eat eggplant - stuffed with shrimp and queso. I can't eat anything else other than this when I go to Los Cucos. It is delicious if you love eggplant and shrimp. I have never had this at any other Mexican restaurant.
Whenever I crave Mexican food in Katy, this is my go to place. It doesn't look like much from the outside and parking can be tricky at busy times. This is one of the old locations, but for me that makes it better. It doesn't have the generic fern bar feel of the newer ones. Make sure you get the... More
The service was terrible. There were only 4 tables occupied and there were 4 waiters. We waited 50 minutes for our food. The food was cold and didn't taste very good. I usually take a "doggie bag", but I left the half I didn't eat. Will not return.
It was a good visit. The staff was very prompt and courteous. They really gave great recommendations from the menu. I went there specifically for a shrimp appetizer I had seen online. It was good and I found out not requested very often. What really surprised me was the salsa they served. They brought out once also that was tomato... More
This location on Hwy. Blvd. is one of the older Mexican Restaurants in the Katy, TX area and there are several of them around the greater Houston area. I have given them every opportunity but it just doesn't happen for me although they have a varied menu and good servers. Can't say much more.
