got 2 big biscuits with gravy, 3 slices of bacon, and coffee for less than 8 bucks--menu and specials looked good, and reasonably priced--will try these folks for dinner next time I spend the nite in junction

This restaurant has been around for many years. This is American fare, in a classic diner style. This little restaurant stays busy with local traffic which should tell you something. The service is friendly if you are a friendly person and have reasonable expectations. I've read reviews that say the food is not good and the service is not friendly.... More

We ate here during a trip to view the meteor shower. I had the chicken fried steak and my wife ordered the fried catfish. The portions were generous and the frying was pretty much perfect--no residual grease on the french fries. There is a modest salad bar that we enjoyed very much. After all, you can't just have fried food.... More

we were disappointed in this pit stop. we didn't feel welcome. the apple pie was hot and cold. the kids pie was okay. they couldn't make shakes because they had to throw out the ice cream the day before because it was "too soft". We regretted stopping but were thankful we didn't get sick from the weird apple pie.

Stopped for lunch, based on recommendation from a friend...glad we did! Greeted nicely upon arrival. Service was friendly, just like a small-town diner should be. We had the onion rings appetizer, they were great. For lunch we did the all-you-can eat salad bar and my wife also had a baked potato. I had a BLT sandwich I think. The salad... More

Passing through we stopped for lunch, very interesting place it felt like a throwback yo another time. Somewhat dark interior with interesting staff milling around performing various duties. Felt like a Cowboy movie with the local folks welcoming the strangers. Food was good, great burger and hand-cut fries just out of the oil. They also have a salad bar with... More

Not sure if it was just late in the day (Junction is not about the night-life), but the food was average, service was so-so, ambiance was mediocre. Was looking forward to a good home cooking style chicken fried steak, it was just okay. Server wanted to be somewhere else and by the time it was all over, so did we.

We were at this restaurant way back in 90's and had not had a chance to return. I just remembered that I loved their hot roast beef sandwich. We were passing through Junction on the way back to San Antonio recently. Everything was still excellent, tasty, good. The waitstaff seemed a bit harried, but they're true professionals. Their people skills... More

Good lunch special, the waitress was really nice and helpful when we were looking for a specific channel on the TV. Very nice, homey feeling.
