We stopped here to spend a Sat night. The band was awesome! Wait staff was great. Had a couple drinks and ordered cheese nachos. We had a very nice time. Not too smoky inside. Actually a great place to spend a Sat night.

We were visiting Jefferson & went to Auntie Skinner's twice. The first time was good, so we returned. The next time the service was slow, our order was incorrect & one of the meals was burnt. The waitress apologized, told the manager & our meals were comped (even tho we didn't/couldn't eat them anyway). We were told the cook had... More

Ate here a couple of nights while staying in Jefferson, to be fair there's not much choice through the week, but this place was great. Had a huge catfish dinner one night and then some good sandwiches the next. Very reasonably priced at under ten dollars a meal and only three dollars for a beer!! Our kind of place. Friendly... So there aren't many places open in the evenings for food, other than fast food. The food here is good but it definitely has the bar atmosphere. Not somewhere to take the family after 6ish. No complaints about that, it is what it is.

Jefferson is like a baby New Orleans without the crazy happenings if you know what I mean. And Auntie Skinner's is like being in one of the old buildings of New Orleans. The building was built in 1866 I think and is a really neat place. A restaurant, bar, pool tables and a live band on the weekends with dancing.... More

On a late Sunday afternoon, Auntie Skinner's was one of a few eateries open in Jefferson. We had a cold beer and some sweet potato fries. Good times!

My Grandmother grew up in Jefferson and took us to see where she grew up, choosing this place for lunch. The menu had a great selection, our server was very attenative and did great with our large party of 12 seating us in the coolest spot in the rest ( per our request) every one's meals were HUGE and well... Auntie Skinner's boasts generous portions and good service, but the local resident's cigarette smoking spoiled the dining experience.
