This has been one of our favorite places to eat in Jefferson for over 27 years though we are not locals, and our most recent visit was not a disappointment. My husband enjoyed his huge hamburger made with fresh ingredients, and my bacon-lettuce-tomato sandwich was also very good. The portions are large so we shared the crisp, hot French fries.... More

Suggested by a friend, tried it, disappointed. Food was ok, service was terribly slow. Watched several parties walk in and turn around and walk out. Hope they get some staff soon.

We had heard great things about The Hamburger Store, but the praise didn't come close to doing this restaurant justice. Possibly the best burger and onion rings we've ever tasted, and my daughter loved the Frito Pie. Too bad we didn't have room to try one of their famous pies. The staff was so sweet, as well.

Great food - got the applewood smoked bacon and blue cheese burger and almost couldn't finish it. The onion rings are to die for!! Service is prompt and friendly!!

Even though this place has great burgers, their pies are pretty good too but go early because they sell out fast. The chocolate taste like "grandma used to make"!

Looking for a hamburger for lunch and came here. Scanning a fairly good size menu for a hamburger joint noticed that all hamburgers started at 1/2 lb which is so not the norm. Talking with Dee our waitress was told all buns are made fresh daily and they are awesome. Choice of white, wheat or Jalapeno Cheddar. Since I had... More

Food pretty good and homemade pie was yummy. Atmosphere homey, but restaurant has limited seating. Falstaff was very attentive.

The burger was tender and the sourdough buns were delicious with a touch of sweetness. There are lots of transportation (trains, planes, cars, etc) signs and photos on the wall. It's a neat place to stop in and have a great burger.

Waitresses were overworked. Hamburger was dry and tasteless. The pie was just so-so. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I went there for a burger and pie. Service was prompt and friendly. The waitress was helpful picking things out there were good off the menu. She kept our drinks full and checked back several times. Burgers got their quickly and were very tasty. The French fries were awesome, very potatoey. We both had the Apple Carmel... More
