We had lunch with my family at this restaurant, we made sure to book ahead, because it was lunch time and the place seemed to be packed already when we arrived. The location is at the foot of a winery hill (Disznókő), which offers an...incredible view of the region, so make sure to go up after your visit in the restaurant, because the view is really breathtaking (especially at sunset). The service in the restaurant was a bit hectic, felt like the waiters are running all the time, never actually paying attention to the customers, taking orders in a rush, not too friendly either... Our dish was actually stone cold and I sent it back to ask for a fresh one, instead I only got a microwave heated hot as fire dish, that actually burnt my mouth... No apologies or anything at this point by the way.... The food was ok, but nothing fantastic actually, for the price I expected a bit more. Alltogether, because of the rushed service and unfriendly staff we did not really enjoy our time here... I suggest if the restaurant is so busy to hire some more staff, so the vibe can be a bit more friendly.More

Despite the unfriendly service we felt good. We really enjoyed the beautiful scenario, the excellent Hungarian style dishes with the great local wine.

We were on an all day tour to Tokaj from Budapest (3 of us, two other tourists, our guide and our driver) and stopped here for lunch (and more wine to taste). Sarga has a great selection of Hungarian food. Our group had deer porkolt,...goose liver, charcuterie, soup, pork hocks and salad. Every single item was a 4 of a 5 in terms of taste, size and presentation. And, the wine selection was very nice, too. Located at a winery and overlooking the valley, this is a great place to sit outside, have a glass or two and enjoy some great food. Service was a little slow, but not annoyingly so. Highly recommended.More

Family trip to Hungary, had dinner at Sárga Borház. - focus on classical Hungarian dishes and ingredients, made in a modern way and with good craftsmanship - nice location from the inside and the outside - selection of own estate vines (tasty, aromatic, price/performance ratio...is good) - helpful and friendly staff (informations about vines and food come readily) - possible improvement: waiters could further develop their English skills We would come again any time. Strong recommendation!More

Not worth a big detour, but if you happen to be in the vicinity, try it! Helpful staff and good atmosphere. No haute cuisine, but food is delicious and local wines are also available to go.

We were recommended this restaurant by locals as being famous with good food. We turned up on a sunday without reservation. Asked for a table for six, after some nudging we were told that they are busy and must wait for a table. When pointed...out that there were two free ables of four that could be pulled together, faces were made and were told that they will come to set the table. We waited a few minutes, but having being ignored we left to take our business elsewhere, may be less famous, but somewhat more obliging and polite.More

We had a table booked ( with confirmation) for lunch, but they didnt know about the booking. They showed us to our table without greeting us, and we were left there for more than 15 minutes, when I tried to ask for service in a deserted...restaurant. The waiter tried to ingnore us after calling him ( sir, excuse me, please..) few times and a minute or two later he came up to us and he had a grim look on his face. I didnt feel like eating there after all. No one said sorry or good bye to us when we left. We found a nice restaurant nearby in 3-4 minutes away in Mad.More

Our first visit was unforgettable: we had a very helpful, friendly waiter and food was delicious. Second time we had a bit rude waiter and food was ok but nothing special. The location is nice with a view on the wineyards. I found the place...somewhat overpriced.More
