This used to be our favorite restaurant. Then covid happened. During a lull in the outbreak they reopened sporadically. My wife and I decided to eat there again To say t hat we were disappointed would be an understatement. The fish was bland, over cooked....At least the hushpuppies were the same. This was in mid 2022. On 01/04/2023 we went there hoping the food was back to it original state. However, there was no returning to their original receipes. The fish was the same bland, tasteless like our visit in 2022. The hush puppies had a much different taste, Most certainly not nearly as good as the original Waitress told us that their previous provider had shut downMore

I would be embarrassed if this was my establishment. Three shrimp on a 6” “French” bread with lettuce - is not a po’boy- more like a lettuce sandwich. The three shrimp were over cooked - could not eat whatever this was. Was with a large...group for those who ordered catfish it was cooked flawlessly. Once the waitress brought the food was unseen until returned with bill, she did not deserve the automatic gratuity for her service. We fully paid our bill, but will never return- their are many restaurants in DfW that serve excellent catfsh.More

This restaurant was a reasonable distance from where we are staying while in the Ft.Worth area, and catfish sounded good. Hardly anyone was inside the restaurant on a Monday evening, but I could see they were preparing 'to go' orders. Thought restaurant could do a...little better with pandemic recommendations. Menus were given to us in diner type plastic folders, requiring us to head to the restroom for handwashing after handling them. Our server was attentive and pleasant, and we discovered the catfish was perfectly fried, and sides of fried okra, pinto beans, and fried green tomatoes were all tasty. (A lot of 'fried', but we indulge infrequently.) The condition of the restaurant overall seemed a little dingy, a thought reinforced when I noticed holes in the restroom tiles stuffed with wads of toilet tissue. Seems this could be remedied.More

This is one of our favorite seafood restaurants. It's located nearby in Hurst. We never have to wait long to be seated & their waiters & waitresses are very attentive. We like their catfish, shrimp cocktail, fried shrimp and oysters. Prices are very reasonable compared...to other seafood restaurants. We'll definitely be back again in the near future.More

Such a great variety and value, we have now added this to our list of seafood favorites. Menu includes much more than just catfish. Servers are super efficient. The food is cooked "just right" - fish not under or overcooked. It also has a full...bar including specialty drinks. Restrooms are nothing special, but some of the cleanest we have encountered while traveling. Dining area kept neat and clean. There are several good restaurants within a short walk of the Convention Center, but this one is easy to overlook because it faces the freeway, and is "nestled" at the end of a small strip center. However, it is definitely worth the effort if you like seafood. You can reach it easily by heading down toward the freeway on the main street in front of the convention center.More

So looking at previous reviews I’m a little surprised. Service was really good. Food was horrible and extremely pricey for lack of quality. I don’t know, maybe we went on an off night, but I’m thinking not. Don’t waste your time or money.

Had not been here before. The baked potato was really good. The fish was so thin and fried to long when you went to cut a bite it splintered.. The tablespoon of slaw was floating in its liquid. Our service was good..

Their specialty is catfish and they do it well. We were with a large group (50) and served quickly and food was hot. Combo catfish and oysters done well. Our bill was $80 for four people. Including tip.

I have eaten at C&C for over 25 years, maybe 30. They recently remodeled the place and it looks nice. They replaced the carpet with wood flooring. There are all new chairs and a new awning outside. They also remodeled the bathroom, which was greatly...needed. The food is still good, despite some changes by the owner to save money. He replaced the lemons with limes, but brought back lemons when customers complained. He also quit using the corkscrew-type French fries (which everyone loved) for regular fries, but again brought the corkscrew fries back by popular demand. He recently cut the portion of fish and raised the prices, but prices are going to increase over time anywhere. My greatest complaint is the servers. All but two are annoying, rude, and hateful. Perry is a jerk and will not check back to refill your drinks. Jeremy (I think that is his name, he is tall and starting to bald) does not wash his hands when he goes to the restroom. I was in there and he emerged from a stall and walked back to the floor to serve food without washing his hands. Cici is very annoying, but she is attentive. The only two decent servers are Donna and Darla. If you ask for one of them, you will get excellent service. If Holly is your server, just walk out. She used to work next door at the Black-eyed Pea (before they closed) and is a terrible server. Sometimes Logan works there. If she happens to be there, she is a good server, but she is not there often. If David (the owner) would fire Perry, Jeremy, Cici, and Holly and replace them with friendly servers, this would be a great place to eat.More

Stopped in for supper. We were seated right away. The dining area was very clean. The staff was very friendly. I had the gumbo, which was excellent. Then I had a combo platter, with catfish, oysters, and clams. My friend had the all you can...eat catfish. Our order came out quickly. All the food tasted excellent. The peach cobbler and ice cream was amazing. We will eat here again.More

What a pleasant surprise! Have to admit I was very suspicious because wife will not eat anything that smells or tastes "fishy". But this place exceeded all expectations for both food and service. First of all, the alcoholic drinks were so good we ordered seconds....And I mean good! Downside is full price for each pour, so a double is 2x not 1.5x. But worth it. I have had catfish all over Texas and Louisiana. Much of it is fried skin-on, and the sides like french fries or onion rings taste like they reuse the same oil. Not this place. The catfish fillets were fully skinned (no tail-fin to worry about on the fillets) and lightly breaded with a flavorful, herb-like breading. I sampled the green beans and coleslaw as sides. Green beans were tender, good flavor, and no bean-strings. Coleslaw was cold and fresh, but nothing special. The restaurant did not smell fishy, and was well lighted. Server was super efficient, but also very friendly. Food came out hot. Prices were reasonable, but certainly not cheap. Best was the diversity and completeness of the menu. Lot's of people there on that Thursday, but all seemed to get seated and served quickly. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.More

This resturant is by far the best for catfish in the Midcities area. The fillets are fresh and fried golden brown. The sides include green tomato relish and yummy hush puppies. The prices are very reasonable for seafood and the service is excellent. The manager...David often greets you and CC is an amazing server.More

Not only have the prices increased several times in less than a year, the food is bland, and so not worth the money! There's only 2 or 3 of the wait staff that is pleasant and friendly and on spot. However, Kim, the manager on...duty, was extremely hateful and rude to the employees. She alone is why not only will I never go back, but will tell family and friends not to go as well!More
