We’ve been going for about 5 years for lunch. We always get the huevos especial. They are delicious!! The owner and servers are super friendly.

We had breakfast there for the first time. It’s a hole in the wall with character, good service, excellent migas, delicious salsas, very good corn and flour tortillas, light and crispy chips and even delicious coffee. We will definitely return when we’re in Houston again....More

Well, I'm obsessed all of the sudden with Huevos Rancheros. So, I had the day off, and googled "best Huevos Rancheros in Houston", and La Guadalupana Cafe came up. It was nice to step outside of my little area, and explore a new place. The...More

Unlike another reviewer, we saw a lot of Latinos dining here. In fact, us gringos were the minority. Sunday late morning proved to be a very busy time, but most parties were plus 2 so we were seated in a relatively short period of time....More

We love this local, family business. The exterior may keep some away, but the food and service keep us coming back on a weekly basis for breakfast. And plenty of others - there is often a line on weekends. The food is fresh and simple...More

From the reviews, this seemed like an authentic Mexican cafe; with food and prices to match. We found the food to be quite good, but it seemed to be little frequented by Mexicans; & the prices were higher than expected as it is not catering...More

Try the chicken mole enchiladas or chicken tacos - outstanding mole sauce, probably the best in the city. Great value for money at this unpretentious neighborhood restaurant. Been here for many years and consistently delivers great culinary value. Authentic. Decor is nothing special — it’s...More

This little family run Mexican restaurant is small on space but big on customer service. The breakfast gordita was generous and perfectly cooked. The chicken soup was steaming hot with a huge hunk of chicken breast, potatoes, onions, green pepper, rice and tomatos. Served with...More

I visited with some family and was very satisfied. Good food for a Mexican tourist. Try the eggs with steak and chilaquiles. You will not regret it. The homemade sweet bread was really tasty as well.
