They are not perfectly consistent but on a good night their pizzas are the best I have ever had. My family now rates pizza restaurants by comparing them to Dolce Vita. To score ten points they would have to be as good as the best pizzas we have had at Dolce Vita. Even when the pizza is not perfectly sublime... More

The pizza is absolutely the best, but you need to also try many other dishes as well. The crispy artichoke appetizer is fantastic, as well as the arugula salad. Don't worry about just getting the pizza choices on the menu (even though there are many(. They will make whatever combination you want.

A group of us wanted to try this restraunt. We tried a wide variety of appetizers. This included the shredded Brussels sprouts. Fried pumpkin and goat cheese. Mushrooms with mint and olives. Octopus with potatoes. Baby artichokes. All of theme were excellent. Then we had our main course. The pizza was ok. The crust was thin and tough. The paste... More

Started our meal with the Caprese salad. A lot of cheese, a large slice of tomato, and one small leaf of basil. Seriously folks, it's the fresh basil that makes this good. Also had the beet, walnut, horseradish salad. Very good. Had no idea these flavors would go together so well. Yum. The artichokes were also very good, but 4... More

Several people recommended dolce vita for pizza and great Italian food. THEY WERE RIGHT! We arrived early (they open at 5) and were seated immediately. Our server was amazing. She even took the initiative to even out our wobbly table (without being asked). We ordered the Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, mushrooms, and broccoli appetizers. FYI- These appetizers are all served cold.... More

From boards of antipasto to fresh, unusual salads; from deep fried risotto and cheese, gourmet pizza and incredible cannolli, my meal was exceptional in every way. Excellent service by friendly and knowledgeable staff.

There are reasons that Houston is rated as one of the top food cities in the United States. If you consider this distinction dubious, I recommend stopping by Dolce Vita Pizzeria. The restaurant inhabits a converted older home on Westheimer and is beautifully decorated. The wait staff is attentive and personable. For the life of me I cannot remember the... More

The best thing they have is pizza! Very good negroni' sand suppli. We tried Casio e pepe and carbonara, while good the pasta didn't taste homemade and the sauce was too thick causing it to all clump together quickly. While it's supposed to have pepper, it had too much! The cannoli' we're very good too! Would go back for the... More

My Italian husband loves his pizza and since moving to Houston, we try to go to Dolce Vita 2-3 times a month. Seriously. 1. He loves this pizza. Thin and on-point with the pizza that you get in Italy. 2. We enjoy the wine as well. Ask the sommelier if you would like suggestions. He goes to Italy regularly and... More
