We had a group of 40 of us in Houston for a Meeting. We had an event on the balcony at Hungry’s. They had finger foods to start, including pot stickers, BBQ shrimp wrapped in bacon, and quesadillas. They were all tasty, but the shrimp/bacon...was my favorite. The main course was served buffet style. They had large fillets of Salmon, and they were delicious! There were small desserts that were also savory: chocolate chip cookie cake, and strudel were my favorites. Two waitresses circled the crowd and kept drinks filled. This was a great place to have an event. Even though is was a chilly February night, the heat lamps kept things warm.More

Service was good. Food was OK. Ordered the chicken sandwich and it didn't have flavor. Sweet potatoes fries were perfect. Hubby loved the vegan options and liked his food so much he went back to the vegan restaurant (beets).

We stopped at this little treasure in Rice Village after our son's college tour. It was allot of food for lunch, but we enjoyed every bite. A great place for parents to treat their kids. My son had an amazing Chicken Fried Chicken on garlic...mashed potatoes and I had some wonderful avocado toast with a kick. Order dessert to share as the portions are HUGE.More

Went for brunch. Sat on the patio on a fantastic morning. Food was wonderful, service was just right. Just happened to go by right at opening, checked TA and decided to jump in line. Got in right away but it filled up very quickly!! For...good reason.More

Good atmosphere in a great neighborhood. They have a full bar and plenty of food options. I would say the food is good, but not great. We were a large party so it did the trick.

We enjoyed socially distanced outdoor dining and each of 4 enjoyed a well prepared and fresh tasting meal. We had a couple of ahi tuna dishes and a gyro wrap w lamb. Ordering was touchless. The drinks were well crafted.

Went for lunch and sat on the upstairs patio. Service was great We started with the hummus and pita chips, It was very good. I order the Greek salad with lamb, which was also very good. Fresh spring mix greens, and all the vegetables mix...in were very fresh. Lamb was a little dry, but had a good flavor. My husband ordered the Gyro with the hand cut fries. He likes the sandwich ad the fries were very good. Has a good beer selection as well. Lovely area to walk around in when finished with the good meal. They have both valet parking and self parking, and can find parking on the street as well.More

My son and I made reservations for Easter Brunch and we sat outside. He had the blue crab eggs Benedict and I had the regular eggs Benedict. He really liked his. Mine was fine, though the bread was a little tough to cut. He topped...off his meal was a delicious piece of extremely high calorie carrot cake. The outdoor patio was crowded, but the service was excellent.More

The goofy "Hungry's" name aside, this is a really good restaurant. We went for Sunday brunch and were so impressed with the service, menu selection and food quality. You can order traditional lunch items or extraordinary breakfast. We had the goat cheese appetizer and the...poke tuna appetizer and both were outstanding.More

I live in Texas but am original from the UK and one of my old friends flew out as we hadn’t seen each other on years, I decided to treat her to a classic Texas style meal at this place as I had eaten there...before and enjoyed it a lot! Unfortunately the cleanliness of the restaurant has gone down hill since the last time I visited, specifically in the bathroom. The toilet bowl had quite clearly not been washed in goodnesses knows how long, there was water all over the floor and appeared to be some sort of liquid in the wall. Apart from those issues we faced the overall experience was nice and food was great! 👍 I am only putting my personal review in now because one of my friend mentioned to me not long ago she had the same issue.More

We're not from Houston. Our family lives there though, and this is why my husband wanted to spend his 50th birthday there. He has Celiac Disease and cannot have gluten at all. Because of this, we are diligent about doing research before going somewhere to...eat. He also has a gluten tester called a Nima Sensor that is very accurate. We picked here because they have a gluten friendly menu. We are both aware that restaurants will never say "gluten free" mostly because it's a liability if something should happen. That being said, most of the managers have been very kind and accommodating if gluten is found, they will have their cook change gloves, and clean a small section of the grill, my hubs is happy with a chicken breast and some vegetables. Not this guy. He was bothered, short with us and dismissive. He said he couldn't guarratee anything on the menu and basically walked away, leaving my hubs with no meal and to sit there and watch everyone else eat on his 50th birthday. My husband is good natured and just sat there, hungry (ironic). By the way, my husband is also a Veteran. Worst meal ever since we find out he had Celiac. On another note, the service was terrible, the server was slow, uninformed and inattentive. Glad his family made it bearable. Just because you're a semi trendy restaurant, it doesn't give you the right to be jerks. DON'T GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A DISEASE OR FOOD ALLERGY!More
