Francisco and his chefs create excellent dishes of the highest quality. They never disappoint. Try the oyster stew or the Texas Redfish. You will love this cozy little neighborhood place!

If you are looking for a nice place to take grandma and grandpa for lunch, this is the place. Comfort food. Almost non-existant wait staff, elevator music and if you are younger that 65, you won't enjoy the atmosphere. In short. Good, almost spice free...food. Low sodium built into all entrees and lots and lots of blue and grey (hair!). Have fun.More
One of my wife's and my favorite restaurants. Start with the gumbo, followed by the grilled fish (salmon, redfish, red snapper, etc.) with vegies done just the way you like them, and you are in for a feast. My wife always gets the fried shrimp...which she really enjoys (and, she rates seafood restaurants by their fried shrimp!). The wine list is not extensive (or all that expensive either) but is very adequate. The staff is pleasant and social distancing is followed.More
Well we love Joyce's and go there at least once or twice a month. Family owned for many years, Francisco and his sister martha are hard working, wonderful to their staff and the food is excellent. It is hard to be excellent as a seafood...restaurant. As soon as the restaurants were prohibited from allowing dining in, we began urging family and friends to pick up orders. We recently ordered several items we thought would be tricky to try as take out. My husband's grilled catfish was flawless. The salads were cold and fresh. The soup excellent and better the next day for lunch. Even the "oysters shooters", more or less friend oysters nachos were wonderful. How did they do that? Place your order by phone, and when you arrive, call again to let them know you are there. They bring the food to you so no crowding up inside the door. TIP WELL please so the servers, who they are valiantly trying to keep employed, and who are now delivering food to cars and homes, will benefit. So you can stay safe. And keep a worthwhile well run business in business through the madness...More
The crab cakes were phenomenal. And I'm very difficult to please as far as crab cakes. There was a lot more crab than breading. And the dipping sauce was paired perfectly. Over a was very pleased with my meal.
Joyce's Seafood is the best and Carla my server was so pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing; the food was fresh and my drink was 100% satisfying. I can honestly rate Joyce's at a 10. If you want...good food and drinks try Joyce's and ask for Carla.More
We've been in Houston for over 40 years and never heard about this little treat. Very good seafood and nice menu of selections. Service was excellent. Prices very reasonable. Very quiet and easy to visit with table mates. We will go back to enjoy again.
Best secret in Houston great sevice and food . Very friendly staff and they did good . Can't go wrong with any seafood dish
My experience with this well established restaurant is over the top i will be back nice owners and staff
The fresh snapper was a delight. I couldn't resist 1/2 dozen of oysters, which were intriguingly good and different from the European oysters we're used to. Veyr friendly staff.
Lively seafood restaurant offering fresh wild caught fish. We started with asparagus topped with lump crab meat and fried crab fingers. Both were delicious! We enjoyed red snapper with crab meat next. Ended with yummy ice cream atop an apple tart and key lime pie....Delicious! Excellent waitstaff.More
The place we go when we want delicious fish, a welcoming staff ...in casual atmosphere. Joyce's is a fixture, now owned by Francisco and his sister Marta. Staff works hard and service is excellent. Fresh oysters are consistently delicious, fresh fish perfectly prepared, Mexican food...on the menu is wonderfully good. Even steaks are good.More
Enjoyed them both along with the pineapple cucumber martini. Topped it off with a slice of Key lime pie and a cappuccino
This little restaurant used to be a Panjo's pizza parlor, I believe. Great location Attentive server Small and no noise, great for carrying on a conversation Food is tasty, not large portions MAJOR CON: JUST TOO PRICEY HOW on God's green earth does 2 small...Caesar salads ($5.95 ea), grilled snapper entree' without the crab meat ($24), and salmon entree ($22) and slice of very hard key lime pie (??- no way this was $10 as was just a slice and VERY, VERY HARD/OLD) and 1 iced tea total $78? Nothing else was ordered. I did leave a generous tip, but after i got home, i got to thinking about the cost. Food IS good, but can't get past the pricing. Attire... very, very casual. Young folks in shorts, but was a much older crowd in general!More
This friendly unpretentious place is a winner. Casual and laid back with great hospitable service and ambience. Seafood is fresh and generous servings. A loyal following. If you can, save room for the bread pudding which is first class!
Thank you very much for an excellent review. We look forward to see you soon.
