Happened to be entertaining 2 clients with recent birthdays and one picked El Tiempo. I can't imagine a better representation of what you could hope Tex Mex would be. Menu is huge, allowing great choices for all. Mix in some great margaritas by the pitcher and it made for a great night. I had the mixed fajitas with quail. Everything,... More

I haven't been here in a couple years, then my buddy suggests to eat here. My choice was Hugo's, anyhow we arrive, we waited well over 5 minutes for a server and no still no one has come to the table, then we finally get seen. Ok, so off to a slow start not a deal-breaker. Then we order some... More

Excellent service and food. We ordered the enchiladas beef fajita and chicken with the charro beans and the black beans. The food was delicious, price for lunch around $33.86 for two people. We opted for seating at the bar for lunch. A must go restaurant if you are visiting the Houston area.

Came here with a group of friends, service was excellent from the moment I walked in the door. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Food was good, your standard tex-mex fare but very tasty. I had the enchiladas suizas and they were delicious! Margaritas were outstanding! Price is reasonable and great atmosphere, will definitely be back!

Went here on a Friday night and it was very busy but there was no wait. Only valet parking was available which is annoying but common in Washington Ave. Chips come with two different salsa. Only one of them was okay. The staff was very attentive and polite. I got the enchiladas which were good but tasted like enchiladas you... More

This place was recommended by a local for great mexican food. Being from the west coast we are used to good mexican food fresca style, this was not that. We went on Sat. night and it was very busy, there was a constant flow of takeout orders which we thought was a good sign so we waited 45 minutes. The... More

Some other reviews state they were stuffed! So was I, the food was delicious and plentiful, combined with the older lady that served us was a great experience. It's not cheap but you will find top service and top food. Old traditional buildings and décor add to the flavour! Huge menu that features not only fine Mexican food but steaks... More

Four different salsa and a huge menu highlight this spot. Small margaritas $1.50 off still a ripoff at $6.29. Fajitas ok, salad ok, combo plate not a good choice. Prices too high for what you get. Won't be going back.

So, if you're looking for a full belly then look no further. The portions were surprisingly large, but in line with the prices. The flavor on point. No complaints on service, either. I ordered three crispy tacos (served with beans and rice...delicious), but could not finish them. The avocado stuffed with shrimp was fantastic. Everyone was more than satisfied.

Four of use went here for dinner and the other couple had been her many times. We were promptly seated and served. The margaritas were very good and the variety of chips and dipping sauces were very good. We also ordered some very hot salsa for dipping and it was really hot but also very tasty. All portions for the... More
