We come as often aas we can. Had dinner early and still packed. I had cedar plank salmon which was excellent. My wife had a new dish on the menu Moroccan Salmon. She liked but thinks cedar plank salmon is much better. Our daughter had the crab mac and cheese and loved it. This restaurant is stii great.

I was visiting with family. And this was my last dinner in Houston. The place was busy for a Monday night. But we were seated pretty quickly. The hostess was pretty nice. Our waitress was okay--we kept having to ask another person. The food was great. I loved the gumbo and crab cakes. Great atmosphere.

Used to love this restaurant. Not anymore. Overcharging for mediocre food. They charged about $12 more for an 'extra' sized seafood platter which was not extra sized. I felt comparatively this was worth about 1/2 of what they charged. The appetizer gulf coast raw oysters & boiled shrimp had absolutely zero flavor. Despite sharing this with the waiter when he... Went here with friends who have eaten here many times. It was fabulous. We all ordered different drinks and sampled each others'. All were excellent. Within our group, I ordered Cajun (crawfish etouffee) and others had seafood and steaks. We were all very happy with our food choices. It is a huge restaurant and the parking lot was packed, but... Been here many times. Love their sea food. This time had the Blue Oysters (fresh). Was amazing. Had the typical blackened fish & no complaints. Always crowded.

Was out shopping and stopped in for some comfort food on a cold Houston day! It was 57 outside ok just an excuse but my gumbo and poor boy did the trick!

Pappadeaux's has some of the best Cajun food outside of South Louisiana. For a major chain restaurant it is #1 in my book. I love the crayfish etouffee on a bed of dirty rice. Their gumbos and bisque are just as good. I know they have other seafood options but I can never get past the Cajun food. Don't get... More

And really wish they would move up north - we could use some better Cajun in NJ, NY and PA. Always try and visit if one is in the neighborhood. Start with gumbo or bisque. Personally, I am a big fan of the Sausage & seafood gumbo. On to the main course - Shrimp & Grits - just the right... More

Had the mahi Alexander. The toppings alone - four jumbo shrimp, crabmeat, and two scallops filled me before I even started with the fish. They blackened it, which I would not recommend, as their blackening seasoning is very salty. We also shared the crab cakes which were delicious!! Would definitely go back!!
