I love the food here but we were shocked that staff didn’t wear masks. Now we are regressing to Level 1 relative to the virus, partly due to irresponsible business decisions like this.

I wasn’t wow’d with the dishes but they weren’t so bad. The customer service was great, staff were pleasant, and the pricing wasn’t so bad either. There weren’t a variety of options to choose from and the food that was there was moderately seasoned. It...was as if I had to close my eyes and shut off my ears (stop other senses) to actually taste the food. I may try again in the future because like I said, it wasn’t entirely bad but didn’t grab me!More

The Thai Spice restaurant is a little hidden behind Local Foods and Benji's in the Rice village. They are located on the 2nd floor and have a little balcony where you can sit outside, a little like in a tree-house. They serve typical Thai food...with the big all you can eat buffet being one of the main assets. There is a wide selection of food and the quality is pretty good. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The place is popular and can be crowded especially between 12 and 1pm.More

So I've been here twice now, both times during lunch during the work week. One time we went with a Thai colleague that said some of the dishes on the buffet are authentic, while some are not Thai food. That's to be expected. She was...surprised to find that they have the purple rice pudding, because that was one authentic dish she didn't think would be as popular here. The two times I went, the dishes on the buffet were changed, so one time they had ribs and a fish dish, the next time they were replaced with a curry and a chicken dish. Both times I wasn't blown away or amazed and also felt a little disappointed. None of the dishes are full of flavor, as well, none have any heat to them. They do offer a hot sauce you can have with your food. It's not a place I would add to my rotation of lunch spots unless someone specifically wants Thai food. Otherwise, there are better options in the area.More

My daughter had been wanting vegetarian Pho soup so was excited to see it on the menu. Most Pho soup is simmered for hours to become very flavorful. When I asked the server about how they make the vegetarian broth since you can't use beef...bones he talked about how all of theirs is made with a powder. I knew we should've left at that point. The soup came and it was the saddest looking, most unflavorful soup we have ever had. It was very light looking too. This soup wasn't simmered for hours. They also put in fried tofu in a soup. And the fried toful? I cannot believe the tofu wasn't marinaded in anything. It was the most tasteless tofu ever. Please don't eat here for there are so many other, much better restaurants in Rice Village to eat at!More

My husband and I had our hearts set on Tom Kha soup and have always loved the Local Foods version, however they no longer make it. Looking out the window, I saw the Thai Spice restaurant right next door and knew they would have the...soup. It was served in a large pot with a fire source in the center, so that it stayed nice and hot. We like rice with our soup, so we ordered jasmine rice as well. They brought out a nice sized bowl for each of us and we had plenty of soup for 2 people, especially since we started with shrimp spring rolls. The rolls were freshly prepared and the peanut sauce was ok- but needed some spice and the waiter brought us 2 types, one medium hot and one very hot. We also used these in the soup. Service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back.More

Grabbed a quick buffet lunch before meeting a friend a Benjy's for a drink. It was about 1:30 and the buffet was nearly depleted. There was no Tom Yum soup and they wouldn't make any more. The green beans were completely cooked too long. There...was very little chicken in those dishes. The one good thing was the dumplings. Will not return. There are so many fantastic Thai restaurants within a few miles.More

This restaurant doesn't give you the amount of food that you're being charged. The portion is not full-filling and not satisfied.
