It’s in an old beat up strip mall across from the airport. Parking lot is odd. You order cafeteria style, dragging your tray as you go. Lots of side options, lots of neat options. Had the brisket (a bit dry) and regular sausage (good). New...potatoes and mac & cheese were both good. Nothing was amazing, but nothing was awful. This is a small thing, but one thing that stood out was the drinks - regular fountain/sweet tea offerings, but they’re $1.25 each (unlimited refills). In this age where places regularly gouging patrons $3 and up, this was refreshing. Nice people, good food, but be ready to absolutely stink like bbq when you leave (not great if you’re headed to the office, or a flight, afterwards)!More

Wow, great food and friendly folks. This little gem is located in a strip mall across from the airport but don't let the location keep you away. Family owned, no frills good Texas BBQ.

Old school BBQ Texas style for over 3 decades. Super friendly staff, go above and beyond. No sauce needed here. Fatty and lean brisket, sausages, are excellent, superior portions of home made sides and desserts.

Great authentic barbecue, the brisket and sausage was amazing. Fast service and good prices. Plenty of sides. Worth the trip.

I was staying right next door at the doubletree and took a chance on this based n the positive reviews. Based on the strip mall/industrial area it was in I would not have typically eaten here by myself but I am so glad I did,...it was delicious! The BBQ chicken was fantastic and the mac n cheese was the best I have had in a very long time. Do not judge a book by it's cover, come inside and have a great meal!More

very poor service, the whole staff just sits on their cell phones. Staff eating out front, no glove use visible, no hand washing visible, especially after being on their cell phones. Food is average, $5.00 for a 3oz scoop of mac & cheese that was...more stove top box than home made. No utensils offered. Couldn't get a credit card receipt even asking twice. Beware.More

Stumbled into this place from the DoubleTree next door. They are open at lunchtime on weekdays. Really excellent, plentiful food. I eat here once a month when in Houston on business.

We searched for a bbq place after arriving in Houston before driving down to Galveston. This place is in a strip mall, that lacks anything appealing so I was kind of reluctant to go in. The place is oddly furnished. It was like going into...a flea market. However, their bbq was very good and the baked beans were terrific. We all loved it, which is saying something for my picky family! Staff was very friendly as well!More

From the outside it looks nothing, but inside it is fun and great atmosphere. A real BBQ hole in the wall place. The BBQ is good, the greens are really good. I had brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was 4 stars, decent smoke ring,...perhaps a little to much cooked and to less smoked to my liking. The pulled pork was perhaps good, but having it served and “swimming” in sauce is not the way to do it. Next time I will try ribs and sausage, updates will come.More
