Enjoy Cuba without a passport! Authentic Cuban cuisine in a typical Cuban setting. The food is delicioso...a wonderful menu. A well kept "Rice Village" secret.

I liked El Meson, sort of a tapas-inspired restaurant specializing in Latin American cuisine. The service was excellent; the food good to excellent; and the prices most reasonable. The place was almost empty when we got there at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night but within an hour it was packed. Just looking around, I'd guess that paella is the... More

This is Rice Village's best kept secret. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place out for a while and tonight was the night! This restaurant has a very inviting decor. The service is excellent and the food is amazing. Two drinks, two entrees, dessert will set you back around $80 for two. The bread was freshly baked... More

We've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years! It is soooo good! I always order the solomillo and ordered it again last night after being away from Houston for two years. Delicious as always! Great selection of drinks, wines and beers.

We were excited to try an alternative tapas place. Menu sounded excellent. Unfortunately almost everything we ordered was tasteless (although the shrimp did taste bleachy!). The Poblano Con Vegetales was supposed to be served on a carrot purée but instead was a watery tomato sauce - double negative when you're allergic to toms and carefully order according to the descriptions... Great place for lunch or a romantic dinner. My wife and I went for an early dinner and ordered exclusively off of the Tapas menu. We had Piquillos De La Tierra, which are peppers stuffed with a ground, spiced lamb. Fantastic. We also had Codorniz Con Madeira Y Ajo (grilled quail in a simmered wine reduction), Morcilla Al Ajillo (a... More

Our group had a variety of the lunch dishes and everyone was pleased. We returned to the restaurant once more during our stay in Houston. Very enjoyable.

Had lunch with my daughter at this darling restaurant. Chic decor in a quite atmosphere. I had the Milanesa which was a breaded chicken with a wonderful caper sauce and fingerling potatoes with braised veggies--wonderful flavor combinations. My daughter said she and her co-workers have eaten there periodically and have always enjoyed the flavors and selection. There is a lunch... More

I had a cuban that was good and there were several tasty options on the menu, but lackluster service. Slow for lunch, but the vibe and service might pick up for the evening.

I've been to the restaurant several times and the food is so good. We had the seafood paella, which was really good, but it needed a squeeze of lemon to brighten the meal. We ordered the most expensive margarita because I don't mind paying for quality, but the drink was tasty yet weak on the alcohol. The is a wide... More
