As a Louisianian, I continued my search for a good poboy in Houston, I happened upon Le’ Pam’s. What a find! With a friendly greeting by the owner, we were promptly provided a sample of gumbo and introduced to the available menu. We had shrimp...poboys which were superb. With bread “imported “ from New Orleans (makes all the difference) The shrimp were lightly seasoned and floured so as not to lose the taste of the seafood. Excellent! We also sampled homemade Mac and cheese as well as dirty rice. Everything was excellent and worthy of Louisiana cuisine. Service was also very good. Look forward to returning. I Highly recommend this restaurant for Louisiana food. C’est ca bon!More

This may very well be the friendliest place on earth! All your creole favorites with a side of sunshine from the owner and staff. I was immediately greeted with a sample of gumbo. The last thing I wanted to do was leave and go back...to work. Menu offerings change daily and today had chicken and sausage jambalaya which which come with choice of two sides. I opted for sweet carrots and broccoli cheese rice casserole. And after that free sample of gumbo, I just had to have a bowl. Look forward to returning. Thanks Pam!More

I went to try this place because it had really awesome reviews on Yelp, so I went and tried it. I have coming here for years now, and I have tried every dish. I cannot tell you want is the best because they are all...good. I have not had a meal here that disappointed me. The only thing I can say you have to try it. This place is mainly a take out place, but if you would like to sit and eat there is seating for you. I only tried it once, but I did not like the ambiance of the whole dine in area. It was changed somewhat recently and it was a lot better. Immediately, I noticed people were deciding to sit and eat as opposed to take the food to go. I took a friend here once and immediately he was hooked too. The owner of the place is really friendly and she gives each and every meal to each and every customer some home cooked love.More

This is one of the very best restaurants in Houston!! Food made with love. We had the fried chicken, seafood gumbo and the trio, consisting of fried catfish on a glorious bed of dirty rice smothered with crawfish etoufee!! Incredible!!!

In spite of living just down the street from this wonderful eatery, I've only been able to actually eat here ONCE. Every time we call (ALWAYS CALL BEFORE GOING) they are never open! The list of reasons seems endlessly creative... funerals, doctor's appointment, car accidents,...vacations. But when she IS OPEN, it's your lucky day to get some really delicious food. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Tried the gumbo, mac-n-cheese, and etoufee... all excellent.More

I’ve tried many places only to be disappointed. The food here reminds me of visits to my Grandmothers growing up. The Gumbo, Dirty Rice, and the Seafood Jambalaya were awesome! I will definitely be coming back!

Hey folks as someone who frequents the Houston area often I want to help you out a bit. There are a ton of restaurants that you could visit but the food is just kind of blah, or you might not get the best service. Drive...out to North Houston and visit Le' Pam's House of Creole. Pam is the chef/owner who makes each patron feel special. Visited LPHOC on Sunday for lunch and we were greeted with a sample of chicken and sausage gumbo, delicious! We ordered 3 servings of seafood gumbo, a shrimp plate, a fried catfish plate, mac and cheese, corn, sweet potatoes (candied yams to non-Cajuns/non-Creoles), sweet tea. Yes, we called it our southern sampler. Shrimp were deveined which is a must and cooked golden brown with a lite savory batter. The fried catfish was REAL catfish, NOT talapia or swasi basa (an Asian spin off that many restaurants serve and call it catfish). The fish has a well seasoned coating and perfectly seasoned. The gumbo was slamming!!! The sweet potatoes were fresh and not overly sweet. The corn was ok and the mac and cheese was a solid performer. Sweet Tea would make your mama nem' proud. Being from Louisiana we are used to great food and often cannot find it when visiting other places, this is the closest thing you will get to good old school down home Louisiana, southern comfort food. Save yourself some time and just go!!!! You won't be disappointed.More
