We had the Fried Whole Red Snapper with rice and beans. They call it "Pargo" at this Resturant whereas in Puerto Rico, that call it "Chillo". Be that as it may, if you are seafood expert, you will know that this mode of eating fish, the whole fish, I.e, the head and the tail, is the only true methodology. The... More

My whole family got together and we all went to Cafe Piquet. The food is always wonderful there, however the black beans still taste Bland and out of a can and always have for years. Being Cuban myself, and making black beans at home of course I always get the flavor that I like and have always found it difficult... More

Place was clean, empty since we arrived at 11:15 am and they just open, prompt service but waiter spent time talking to his buddies instead of placing our order so order delayed, food was delicious and plantains were super good, I highly recommend this place to anyone, one things to note is that I was about to order a fried... My husband & I have been coming here for years. The first time I went there and looked at the menu I said "there's nothing here that I see that I would like" Being adventuresome, I chose broiled snapper and have been getting it ever since. The didn't have it this time but the striped bass was served the same... More

The ropa vieja is very good. I also like their ham croquetas and fried yucca with the garlic! Friendly wait staff.

We have been going to Café Piquet for years and it seems to get better daily. I love their scrumptious Food and Welcoming Service. I have enjoyed the Moros, Plantains, Pork, Calamari, Salad, etc. The Flan, Tres Leches, and the Sangria are the best I have ever had.

I have visited many times and am never disappointed. The staff is so friendly and accomodating. The food is authentic Cuban through and through! Cafe Piquet is one of the few places we come to every single time we must travel to or through Houston.

I went there with some girlfriends and we all loved it! I have been several times before and was introducing them to it. No one disappointed- the food was delicious but I have to really compliment the service- it was outstanding! We will be back!

We had dinner here on Friday - March 4, 2016. It was our first visit here and we are very familiar with very good Cuban Food in Miami, Houston and New York City. This place is nice and simple, no fancy decorations and they are not needed. The food is what you should be visiting this establishment for and they... More

Good food, reasonably priced with pleasant service. Try the Cuban Tamale, the flavors are well balanced and delicious. The shrimp creole was very good with a perfect blend of shrimp, vegies, spices and rice. We will be back
