The food here is just amazing. Quality, taste, preparation, presentation, everything. I live in Houston and this is a place I take people to impress them. The Churrasco is, of course, the signature dish. Everything is wonderful, but definitely try the churrasco first.

Great ambiance, delicious food and drinks ! An easy. House for us as they have something for all tastes. We love the food here and frequent it often. Just a word of caution... The only times the quality, has not been the same is during mass reservations, for Easter or Mother's Day etc...

Enjoyed a visit to this restaurant during Houston Restaurant Week. Great ceviche and steak. Their mango habanero margarita and Virgin strawberry mojito are pretty good too.

Love the ambiance of this place, but love the food even more! We go everytime we are in Houston, and can't wait. I love the plantains and cheese sauce they give you to start. Their steaks are divine, and their tres/quatros leches is AMAZING!

wonderful décor sand lovely service and fabulous food. come hungry as portions are generous. the platter of fried plantains and three sauces almost make you satisfied and satiated, but the signature churrasco steak is perfection. the large salad and salad dressing also with herbs is excellent-the chocolate sorbet was like frozen ganache--it is all great. they even bring a plate... My daughter took me to Americas on Saturday 08/22 during restaurant week in Houston. We were seated promptly and our server, Justin, was at our table quickly. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. The tuna ceviche was an excellent starter. It has some spice to it which was very good. I had the salmon which was extremely delicious. The... More

This one is a winner. Its Restaurant month in Houston and the location worked from the Medical Center so we chose it. That along with an interesting three course for $35.00 menu. The décor is fun, sexy and cool. No hard corners here. I even too pictures of the bathrooms. What fun the decorator had. (reminded me of some of... More

I've visited Americas River Oaks quite a few times over the years. I'm always impressed with the ambiance and presentation of food. I went with a group of ladies to try the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu ($35 dinner) this past weekend. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. The steak here is always prepared perfectly as ordered. I'd recommend trying... More

We were lead to a table near the kitchen doors and when we asked for a different table in a relatively empty restaurant we got the eye roll and sigh. This is why I do not like Restaurant Week. It is the equivalent of the Groupon scourge. The interior is chic. You get the feel of a fabulous dining room.... More
