My wife and I enjoyed dining here the other night. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. My wife said The Perfect and Mr. Blue Margaritas were very good. She enjoyed the Fajitas Al Carbon Mix and I enjoyed Pibil Rabbit. The fajitas were tender and flavorful as was the rabbit. For dessert we shared the largest... More

Some long time Houston residents may remember the old Picos on the southwest freeway that had great margaritas. Well they are back now on Kirby and they have elevated the cuisine to match the area. Very good mole and the margaritas are still very good but the prices are high too; this is not cheap mexican food, but more refined... More

This restaurant may be ok for casual dining. It was a struggle for a large group. They would not seat us until everyone was there because they wanted an exact count. We were crowded at the bar which is by the door and we were in everyone's way. We were finally seated inside when we were supposed to be seated... More

This place never ceases to amaze. I go as often as I can. The food selection is great being that this family ran restaurant focuses on the seven regions of Mexican fare. All the menu items are delicious...but my favorites are the seafood and the other unusual dishes. I don't really come for the usually found fajitas or tacos that... More

I had a taste for tacos and should have looked at the menu online. I just read the reviews instead. My bad. I did order a ground beef taco (not on the menu) and three nice sized tacos came - two corn and one flour. They were freshly made in-house. There wasn't much flavor to them (I do not like... More

Reading other reviews is always interesting but must be taken in context. This IS NOT Tex Mex so the reviewers that critique the lack of cheese or pseudo spice should have gone to other close by Tex Mex establishments which are, for their genre, excellent. Picos Mex-Mex (get the nuance here) is an up market take on the more genuine... More

Pico's quality and service is really good now. I gave them another try after somewhat of a disappointing visit shortly after initial opening at their Kirby location. They really have picked up their game--well done. The food and service are quite good. The guacamole, salads, and fresh fish were each wonderful. So also had a shrimp appetizer that was flavorful... The foods horrible with a very bland taste. The salsa is horrible too. Better off going to papas across the street. If you like horrible bland food this place is for u.

My family and some relatives from out of town went to have dinner here. It was very elegant and we were seated in the Ave Room. I was impressed with the different selection of Tequilas that they have on their liquor and also their wine selection. The menu had a wide selection of choices of apetizers, soups, and traditional mexican... More

I have eaten here before and it was ok but today the food was bland. The only good thing was the guacamole, paper towel chips. Bland, bland, bland!
