They did not have close to enough staff to support the amount of patrons on a Saturday night. It took 2 hours to get our food and that was after we ordered and they came back twice to tell us they did not have anymore...of what we ordered. Another unfortunate quality is the restaurant was extremely loud, let me emphasize extremely. It was the worst instance of loud restaurant I have ever experienced. The food was good but did not outweigh the negatives. We will not be going back. Poor service, extremely loud and obviously not ready to be open.More

Ok if you haven't been there you ware wondering what is the comfort dog. Well, if you request, they will put a lifesize statue of a dog ( looks a bit like a Weimaraner )at your table, on a chair- to keep you company- or...just to turn your mood whimsical. Loved the originality of it- and they got me confused from a distance ! ( props for that). All that and its pretty dressed up- lots of prom girls there when we were there. Very attentive service in a pretty room and very very good food. I know this restaurant has been a standard in Houston for a very long time- but it still feels fresh and delivers a fine meal. First they gave us these delicious biscuits- three varieties - and I would have happily made a meal just of them. Loved them all- We had an excellent array of oysters to begin with-very crisp and well dressed Caesar salad, and steaks cooked perfectly. Nice round table too that made it easy for us all to talk to one another. It was all a big hit.More

Delicious chicken salad sandwich with yummy house made chips. The Stilton kit with grilled chicken was also lovely. Always love the mini biscuits and muffins served with whipped butter. And the lemon ice box pie really good! This spot for lunch never disappoints!

We held our son's rehearsal dinner at Ouisie's Table recently and it was pure perfection. They go above and beyond to make everyone happy. They have terrific waitstaff, a great bar, and wonderful food. Their setting is magical. After struggling with other venues and during...this challenging time, it was a miracle that we found Ouisie's Table. We were treated like members of their family and I can't wait to visit them on our next trip to Houston! Thank you for everything!!More

Went for lunch with friends. Everything about this place is classy. Wooden floors, great bar, wall hangings, etc. The service was stupendous and the food was plentiful and delicious. We went for lunch and my friends had a 3 course meal for $20 as they...extended Restaurant Week until end of Sept. I had a pimento cheese sandwich with bacon. Very good. Servers wear masks and gloves. Tables are more than 6 ft apart. Reservations are recommended. There is valet parking for $3.More

Husband and I went to lunch at Ouisie's Table for Houston Restaurant Week (HRW) (during the pandemic). We were quite pleased! All wait staff were in masks, tables separated for social distancing, food was delicious, and waiter very good. We had never heard of Ouisie's...Table before we saw the name on the HRW list. We are so glad we tried it! Apparently under normal operations, parking is limited. Google maps had us parking at a lot nearly a half mile away. Fortunately we decided to try parking at the restaurant, and there were several spots available, along with valet parking. We both ordered the Mediterranean salad, 4 oz filet & shrimp for the entree. I had the lemon ice box pie for dessert, and husband had apple strudel. I am not a fan of salad dressings, but this one was great. The waiter suggested a bottle wine and it was also good with the meal, and not expensive. All in all, a great meal which also helped out the Houston Food Bank.More

We celebrated a special day with lunch at Ouisie's Table. The atmosphere was relaxed southern comfort. The beautiful bar was closed due to the covid restrictions but I would love to have a drink there in the future. My husband and I both ordered their...famous chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint us. The mustard greens, mashed potatoes and cornbread were really good. I could have eaten a basket of little cornbread bites. I will definitely go back and save room for dessert next time.More

Had a surprise birthday party here in a private room. The food was excellent! The service was fantastic, and they had to deal with a pretty rowdy group of ladies! I would highly recommend this long established restaurant. This restaurant is perfect for a special...occasion.More

Dinner on a slow weeknight at this restaurant can be rewarded with superb service and food, when the restaurant is only half full, if that. I started with a tasty, Pinor Noir from Oregon, poured by our waiter Russell which was a nice touch. At...his recommendation, I ordered the Sea Bass, a fabulous tender and generous portion, perfectly cooked, which came with a wonderful vegetable risotto and perfectly steamed broccolini. I started with the candied pecan salad, which was also sublime. A shot of espresso -- very smooth -- brought a nice ending touch to the evening. My friend and I appreciated the no rush treatment by the waiter, and ideal timing of the dishes. It allowed us a nice opportunity to talk and talk. Can't wait to go back to try another of the many offerings on this menu.More

We had a happy hour gathering at this upscale restaurant in the Post Oak/Galleria neighborhood. We were seated in a large setting expecting quite a few guests but only a few showed up. We had drinks and light snacks and everything is fantastic. The staff...were super friendly and the atmosphere was great as well.More
