My son and I visited Irma's for lunch today and was told they didn't have any menus. The waiter said "Do you see anybody else with a menu?" I looked at the other tables and didn't see any menus. I thought this was strange but thought OK. We were then told of about 4 or 5 dishes, mind you, I... More

Now I should say I was here for a group event, but I got a good look at the dining room and the group menu was chosen from the restaurant's general menu. All was delicious and there was a good selection. When we asked for spicier salsa, a third very spicy version quickly appeared. The service was quick and attentive.... More

After some mixed experiences in other Houston dine-outs we tried Irma's as a proximity option to our hotel. This turned out as the most pleasant surprise: extremely friendly and forthcoming service, nice decoration; pleasant background music... and most importantly the excellent food! We found the food selection creative (clearly Mexican food centric), our orders came very nicely presented, clearly freshly... More

Until today, I didnt know that the restaurant existed. My mom wanted to join me downtown for lunch and I knew she wouldn't be able to walk the distances through the tunnel system. I google searched and found Irma's. The search page indicated that there were no menus, so I was expecting to find a little hole in the wall... More

Found this restaurant by chance. The menu is on the black board and changes daily. If you don't like what you see they will make it for you. Pretty neat, this place customizes whatever you want. No cutting corners here. The chips and salsa were good. The salsa has a bite but it was good. The fish tacos were good.... More

We went here after the Astros game for dinner on a Saturday night. It was very, very average. We tried the special at the suggestion of our server. There was nothing special about the special! Not bad, just not great.

A large open space restaurant with basic table settings, friendly efficient service and complimentary 'nibbles' and soup to start. The beer, served in bottle with lemon slice was good. However we seem not to understand TexMex food..... Our 'mains' ( beef fajitas and wild game 'combo') were ok but no better than we might expect from a 'fast food' outlet.... More

Not the least expensive choice but well worth the money. The portions at lunch were just right, not too much that you have to hibernate all afternoon. Truly a gem in Downton Houston with parking just across the street.

Wow! Great food and service! Truly a hidden gem in Houston. You must try Irma's Southwest Grille before going to an Astros game.

Found this place on Yelp, and it is a gem. Their salsa is awesome! Had tacos which were excellent. Cool, eclectic menu with a great ambience. Would highly recommend
